manson.

My mom just bought a Kodak C713.

CBR? :Frustrati. Don't you think I want one?

I just bought myself a AGV GP1 original one, to match my CRAMSTER riding gloves & PLANET DSG NERO jacket & of course for my COMET. The finish is really amazing.

Got myself this beautiful AGV XR-2 from denniskirk.com, the redis more red than it seems in this picture. Ordered a 'XXL' and its fits well, the padding is tight towards the cheeks, but i think this would be gone once its broken into.

How much did it cost ? hope you don't mind sharing it here :)

Yeah dude, long time no see. I don't have a spare NERO JACKET, but you can get it from ORION MOTORS in Koramangala. He is a PLANET DSG dealer too. Regarding the helmet you can go to my cousin's shop opposite to MTR & get yourself a good, original AGV from there.

Is that really your size or do you wear loose helmets like most people? Measure your head one inch above your eyebrow.

Prajeepm there are a couple AGV V-flyer helmets left on Dennis Kirk | Frontpage for 130 odd USD, plus some 50 usd would be shipping, should fit in your budget. Get going on this one. Another 50 USD and you could get the XR-2, or the Suomy Ventura.

manson.

Here's anku's Daijya hemet.

Thats really me size, my head is an abnormal size :D my main concern is it should weigh below 1000 grams.

@manson thanks will check out the links.

I think most helmets, in the 150-300 USD range would wiegh in the 4-5lbs range in size XL.

manson.

Can anyone tell me about the best Value for money helmet to be bought ?

I can place the order and get it easily. But my question is :-

1) Is the AGV (not sure about the model No.) which costs around 9k enough or should i still go for a Shoei. I just want to know whether Shoei helmets are priced more for their brand name or is it that much more superior in quality. Now when i say AGV being enough, i want to know in context with the speed i go. I normally dont go above 90+ on my RX100.

I know that this might stupid for many as the question Uno will be why spending so much for these speed and that too on an RX. But my answer is simple :- Its worth spending on your safety than on a Nokia N96. Moreover, i had first hand experience of being in pain for a lousy little accident with crutches for 2 months.

And moreover, i wouldn't have to upgrade my helmet once (if things go as per plan) i get an SBK.

Man last time i saw you you didn't have an XL sized head... Measure your head once again! :D And you will be hardpressed to find a approved fullface helmet that will weigh below 1000grams. Even the Arai RX7Corsair weighs 1200grams! That's the lightest i have seen personally.

Straight6, i couldn't find any information about Daijya helmets on the web. Only Indian websites pop up if i search for Daijya. Do you know the origin of Daijya helmets and how good they are when compared to KBC et all? Some KBC and Sparx models are priced close to Daijya.

Its a Japanese brand. I'm guessing its not that highly regarded in Japan and that is why you don't see their website. They are pretty decent but too common now.

KBC is a much more known, American brand. Sparx is also American and more well known than Daijya.
