Dear Hornet,

Welcome to the group, which has some truly amazing individuals, allowing us to experience a utopian experience. I am sure with your positive outlook and a burning passion of automotive to take care of, its just a matter of time when you will bounce back and not only start living your life again but doing it even better than before.

I know, prosthesis rehabilitation takes time and you need to have patience.

All the best

regards

What a horrible and utterly shameful story. This is the state of our country's regulatory state where car manufacturers are least liable to be held accountable for the faults in their products. But who is listening

Just went through the initial few pages of this thread which somehow I had missed and read today only. Wow!!! Some self acclaimed gentlemen were hellbent on putting the blame on the victim. Sense that they must be truly bhagwan's avtaar, who are sent on this forum to truly guide us the believers to the truth which only they can sense and understand.

All circumstantial evidence are strongly pointing towards the car having a manufacturing defect and I absolutely believe the victim. I really don't want to make a negative comment here otherwise I would have said that all those who think that victim may not be saying what actually happened and giving all sorts of plausible/implausible excuses that let them suffer the similar fate and then see what they say.

If they were patriotic they would not sell half baked-poorly engineered products to Indians. These are just corporates making money out of our patriotism.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome and wishes including the folks for their encouraging DMs. It took much longer to respond than what I anticipated. I am immensely thankful for your patience and understanding.

Thanks Arun. I must say this incident was beyond my imagination and horrible. I will try to put them in words very soon in my subsequent posts with all possible facts gathered so far which most of the BHPians are waiting for.

Can’t comment much on this for now, given the situation I ended up with.

May term it as a bad habit which can be avoided with better coordination, concentration, and a fair (if not deeper) understanding of the mechanics of driving. Further disadvantages but not limited to fuel wastage, loss of torque and a worn clutch assembly. The earlier your friend learns, the more he will enjoy his driving with granular control over the situation.

Thanks BlackBeard. Indeed, Hazaribagh is a breathtaking natural beauty. It was on my list for the said trip and I was very eager to show my kids the places where I spent most of my childhood including a few interiors of it.

There are lot more eye openers than anyone can think of. I will share them soon.
