The family has filed a fresh request in court to release the car. I am damn sure the court will immediately allow it. Legally, nothing stops the owner from taking the car back and plying it on roads.

After all that has transpired in this case which is a classic study case of "How to Kill and get away legally", as a car forum, I think we should not have a problem with the poor car being released from the police.

What is worse is that the "Punishment" to the Juvenile for killing 2 people is something which is easier than what is a normal requirement to acquire Driver's license in most of the Western countries. I don't know how it can be termed as punishment.

And what I don't understand is that we have Juvenile jails/ detention centres. So why is he not being put there? Does it have to do something with his age?

A bigger irony is, a Porsche dealership is coming up in the exact same locality of Kalyani Nagar barely a kilometre from the accident spot . People on social media have even started saying that they will call the exact same kid for the inauguration.

But the audacity of the accused to claim the vehicle back when the impacted party is still mourning is something seems very unfair.

It will be the Driver's word against the Father and the Grandfathers. It needs to be proven that the allegation took place.
