Btw there is a SX4 2008 VXi model available with Rohan Motors Noida in Red and Copper ready to deliver for a whopping discount of 80K or so with freebies. Anybody in NCR interested in a Red SX4 Vxi should check it out. If you bargain a bit hard then they will throw in free stock alloys too

I know this for sure as i had a talk directly with the sales executive but i ended up booking a Swift VDi in white.

BTW I was not aware that Honda City is so costly on spares and SX4 is cheapest, makes me more happy
Rajiv, pls check out the March, 2009 issue of Autocar India. It has the comparative spare part price list across the segments with comparison amongst all cars. Cumulative spare part cost was the least for SX4 in this segment but Verna CRDI edged SX4 in the least % of spare part price to the sticker price. This was because Verna CRDi has a higher sticker price

Skoda led the way though with Fabia spares costing 1.6L(compared to SX4 which was 55K)

got my loan through

i had a good bargain for the loan for my linea ( courtesy : month end targets ). i was able to negotiate from 12.25% to 11.14%. now i have also negotiated a total waiver of the processing fees. so my emi has dropped down by rs135 per month. is it a good negotiation? or shall i ask for more?. they are not giving anything freebies for my linea. seems my car is out of the ranjangaon and is on the way in the truck to madras. seems ill get delivery of the car sooner than promised!.

I heard recently that SBI car loans at 10%.

Worth considering. atleast it has no hidden costs (like pvt banks)

That's right , read some thing about that in ET today. But the savings is about Rs.300 per month on top of a 12 % loan as there are no payouts on the 10 % loan. Didn't understand that part well. some one can throw more light on how a payout works.

Just took the delivery of a SX4 ZXi on Monday. And to clarify regarding the loan, SBI gave 10% for first 14months and 11.5% for the rest months, so that say the EMI is coming up for 2141 per lac per month.

cons: the rate of interest is a floating one not fixed . if it shoots up next year to 13% u may have to pay much more

2. all the paperwork needs to be done at the regional head office between 10-1pm in morning . so u may have to run around taking leave for couple of days.

did they tell u that?

can some one throw me more light on the insurance part?. is it better to get insurance from the dealer or we can shop around a bit?. the price of insurance for linea is around 20745 given by tata aig. is it good?. what about reliance / icici / new india assurance?

@drakshum: you will get a good deal if you shop around. For ANHC i was quoted 26.8K by the dealer as the 1st year premium. Bajaj brought it down to around 20600, less 6700. It was a corporate deal, but similar options would be open to everyone.
