Nice regular imports definitely. I got the world tour porsche only but did not go for the buses. The next one that is expected is the 5000 km Datsun Bluebird.
Saw some pictures on the facebook and seems some new trucks are expected in the near future.

I was expecting to see your complete TLV collection, the way you have probably displayed it some place.
My toys are all stacked up in the almirah.

Mine are in 2 plastic storage boxes. Will try to put them out on Sunday for you :). Still building a display for them.
The upcoming trucks are lovely. Did you get the LeMans Mazda 787B? Expensive..

I will be waiting eagerly. Cannot afford the LeMans as the pricing seems to be outrageous to me. A white version is also coming up in the near future.
Sometimes I wonder, that if I had a local contact out there at Tokyo, who would only charge me the actual car price plus the shipping at actual, would that be a clever deal? But then I observe that AmiAmi already sells them at a reduced premium of at least 20% off. Are you aware of any other online seller, which can work out at even cheaper rates?

For my 1/64 cars I use these cases which are originally meant to store sewing reels. Have 7 of these right now. Available in the US at all Hobby Stores. You can even buy them at HobbyLobby for 40% off using their daily coupon system.
I would be glad if someone finds a way to import them here at reasonable prices since getting these from the US is no easy task.
Looks just like this.

First post after several years!
I am constantly looking for scale models to photograph. If any of you are interested in getting your scale model photographed, get in touch!
I am particularly looking for detailed models of American muscle cars and classic cars.
These are some pics of a Fiat 500 I picked up in Hamleys. The F40 I've had for around 20 years so it is in pretty bad shape.
Enjoy!

And this may not please you guys at all. I took an old Mercedes convertible scale model, totally wrecked it and tried to photograph it. Well...the vision didn't quite translate to the final image but it is still something interesting nevertheless.

Don't worry...I won't do this to your cars :deadhorse
I would like to start my collection now. The only model cars I had were the really small Matchbox models of a Porsche Carrera and some old F1 car when I was a kid. Later I got a bigger model of some Ferrari along with my Autocar India subscription.
My wish list:
- Mercedes Ponton
- Fiat 600 (original model)
- Fiat Uno
- Fiat Siena / Petra / Palio
- Skoda Rapid
- Maruti Alto
- Maruti Celerio
- Hyundai i10
- Ford Escort (2nd Generation)
- Audi 80
- BMW X1 (Latest model)
These are the real cars we owned / currently own.
And these are the ones I desired / desire.
- WW II Willys Jeep.
- Jeep Cherokee
- Ferrari Enzo
- Ford Mustang (Classic and Modern)
- Ford Thunderbird (Classic and Modern)
- Chevrolet Corvette (Classic and Modern)
- Chevrolet Camaro (Classic and Modern)
- Lamborghini Gallardo
- Porsche 911
- Mercedes Benz 190
- Ferrari F2002
- Isuzu D-Max V-Cross
- Hummer H1
- VW Beetle (Classic and Modern)
- VW Split Window Van
- Fiat 500 (Modern)
- Mini (Modern)
- Audi R8
- Lancia Delta
- Tata Xenon
- Tata Nano
What is the most common scale of model cars? I want to stick to this scale as I want my entire collection to be the same scale. Also what are the best places to pick up these scale models.
While i am not actively collecting scale models right now, I just could not resist adding these two models in my collection (specially given my recent obsession with Porsche)
1:18 Porsche 959 from Minichamps (reference image used since the car is packed). It is an iconic Porsche and i particularly wanted a red 959 to go with my red 1:18 F40. I think the two iconic cars in red would make for a lovely display.
And then there is the 1:18 Porsche Cayman GT4 in a jaw dropping black on black (well almost since wheels are dark grey) combination that was just too hard to resist.
That is all for the time being! Happy collecting
Rohan
I just started collecting the models.
Two Red Rival Muscle Cars - 2015 Mustang GT and 2016 Camaro SS:
Another Iconic one with two muscles - Jeep Wrangler Rubicon:
Godzilla - Nissan GTR:
The green color doesn't do justice to this Japanese brute. It was promptly taken off and gifted to a kid clap:. Will be replaced soon by another one with good color choice.
Europeans will be added to the garage soon. One model is added to the collections each time I visit Costco or Sam's club here. They have huge collection of scale models at a affordable price.
I've been looking all over for a good quality F10 piece in India. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Others on the wishlist - Murcielago LP640, BMW E30
