A330 : in 1/200 scale it used to be made by Flight Miniatures(plastic). Not available anymore. In 1/400 scale, it is available in diecast metal.

ATR-72: available in 1/150 scale(plastic) and was made by a very lesser known manufacturer.

Indigo A320 in 1/200 was sold exclusively onboard their A320s. They have gone out of stock and may not be available anymore.

For yoyr model needs, you may try your luck with www.DBjets.com, the guy is based in Mumbai. A very reliable guy.
Hi skanchan95 & many thanks for the informative reply:

As far as availability on DBjets go, the ATR seems to be out of stock on his site. No listing for the B737. The A330 seems to be available.

On a related, have you ordered from any of the overseas based online portals & had them delivered to India ? Was wondering if customs add any duty when one imports into the country. I'm seeing a 20% import duty on die-cast models. Info needs to be verified though.

The 1/200 9W 737 max isn't listed, but is available with him. He hasn't listed his full stock on his website. I had posted a few pics of that model in earlier pages of this thread. You may have a look at it to see if it meets your detailing expectations.

The only overseas portal i tried was aliexpress from China for a few military aircraft models( 1/72 and 1/100 plastic and hybrid metal/plastic). I did not have to pay any customs duty on them as they were cheap compared to brands like JC, Hogan, Inflight and others. Only advice i would give if you buy from aliexpress is to select and pay extra for Aliexpress standrad shipping method as it comes quite fast compared to China Registered Mail shipping method.

Narayan sir has imported a few models from intetnational websites. He has a much better idea about customs duty and shipping charges those websites charge.

Beyond the 20% duty some add-on also comes into play. I have often ended up paying about 42% duty and all taxes on imports.

Guys the HAL Rudra in black Indian Army colours is ready finally after 4 months and more. Forgive me for behaving like an excited 8-year old showing off his new cricket bat. The model ships today. I will post at least 58 photos on arrival one for each trip around the sun :-) but for now here is a sneak preview of photos the maker, FDM, sent. If you are nice to me you get to play with my new toy. Please go green with envy.

The model is about 9 inches in length.
Thats a great looking plane and with a really sought after historical livery !
Do you have any more Pan-Ams in your collection?
I would love to get a 747-200 or -100 in the old white Pan-Am livery.

You and I have very similar tastes, I was eyeing this model for quite sometime but the high price kept me away.

A bit of Pan-Am Trivia, each plane's name has the prefix "Clipper" which originates from names of flying boats (amphibious planes) the airline started to operate in the 1930s.

Alas no other Pan Am's. It is the only Yank carrier I have a soft spot for.

the scale is close to 1:34. The way it works is that they fix the length at 19 inches and then work backwards for all other dimensions. So the airframe is 19 inches. Rotor dia ~16 inches. Also a 19" model is the longest size that can comfortably fit into my 21" depth cabinet. The next in line is the Kiran HJT-16 which is under production. My aim is to have one of each indigenously developed aircraft. A man's gotta complete his bucket list before his visa comes.

The Real Aircraft

17 years ago I had assembled one in the same scale from a kit which I still have, unfortunately time and children playing with it has taken heavy toll and its not display worthy anymore. Big thanks to Skanchan for motivating me to restart my hobby in collecting fighter aircraft

Mean and sleek. Great buy. The nick name Viper is so much more apt than the official Falcon. Curious - why the charcoal colour scheme. Also I note it has a tail hook - maybe for short landings or reserve air strips. I notice you are edging towards the Yanks. What heh! Skanchan's magic is working on you

I think most of the F- series of aircraft have tail hooks:

"The tailhooks on Air Force aircraft, including the F-15, F-16, F-117 and F-22, serve two purposes, assisting in emergency landing situations and to secure the aircraft during maintenance engine testing.

The most frequent use of the tailhook mounted to an Air Force jet is not however related to stopping aircraft, it is to secure an aircraft to a stationary position while mechanics run engine tests at full throttle in a Hush House following maintenance to the engines."

Never! I am a loyal Iron Curtain fan Unfortunately I am a very price sensitive collector and western fighter models are easily available and cheaper. The Mig-29 I wanted to buy in the same scale was 4-5x the price of this one.

Wow Narayan! only one in the world?

Unique would be an understatement !

Thats a big model and decently detailed. Wonder how much is the
cost of these one of a kind models? Is HAL Rudra available in
any plastic model kits ?

I think you can sell it to HAL for a small fortune

Is a HAL Light Combat Helicopter in the pipeline?

Thank you brother. Yes it is not likely there are many around other than those modeled by HAL themselves. All a part of my bucket list :-) I don't think the Rudra or Dhruv are available yet from any of the scale manufacturers. My wife has finally consented to a new large cabinet which should be ready by November. Aaahh. More models.
