Yes, all 3 nations get an automatic berth. There are a total of 80 matches scheduled - 60 matches in the US, 10 matches each in Canada & Mexico.

I was able to watch on Jio TV for sometime, but it went blank now.

Had to reinstall the app! Now working again.

Voted for France. Kylian Mbappe will be the top scorer. Belgium is the proverbial dark horse. The combination of DeBruyne and Lukaku will be interesting.

So the Russian bots trounced their opponents. Put in perspective (you see what I did there?), a great way to get through to the second round.

Saudi had possession of the ball for much longer time but were steamrolled with 5 Russian goals.

Totally out of touch with soccer but managed to catch a few moments of the opening game today.

I saw some highlights from the game. It appeared that the Saudis crowded their defence, but the Russians were skillful in decimating the barriers in carving out goals.

Hopefully this sets the trend for a high scoring World Cup.

I thought the Saudis gave up after the 3rd goal. The last two goals were way too casual

Did you notice putin's reaction to the goals , it would have been humiliating if the results where opposite.

Devastated for Salah. I was hoping Egypt would at least hold them to a nil nil draw.

Doesn't hotstar.com have FIFA live coverage? What a shame!! I recently bought the yearly subscription during French Open thinking I will get access to FIFA.

A classic world cup match for sure. Ronaldo single-handedly gives Portugal a point out of nowhere.

Portugal Vs Spain - just wow, what a match!

Ronaldo proved yet again why is regarded as one of the best ever in the game...with another hattrick of goals.

A game that was gripping and enthralling from start to finish

Watched the Portugal vs Spain match this morning, and absolutely loved the level of football on display. This match exceeded the number of goals scored in the opener, and it was a treat to watch the passing quality of the Spaniards, as well as the counter attacking skills of the Portuguese.

Ronaldo's 3rd goal off the free kick is a class act, and he deserves all the accolades that come his way.
