If you are considering a Nitro, go for a HPI than a Traxxas. Traxxas have quite a few mod options, but they do suffer on durability and impact resistance. A friend of mine has a T-Max 3.3. He got the Ofna 3.6 engine for it. Its a wicked rc, but he quite oftenly keeps on replacing his suspensions. I am currently building a HPI Savage X 4.6. Have got its chassis and engine mounts. Planning to put a Mugen Cobra 4.6 engine in it. HPI have come out the Savage XL. Its a huge monster with a new tuned engine, costs quite a bit too. Anyways, have tried my hands on the Savage X 4.6 SS and its a sweet rc. And takes all the beatings too.

Even i would be back by then from a business trip.

I would simply love to have a rugged DIY kit.

Do you know Avinash?

Ya, my servo gave me issues too recently. it steered fine, but it won't move forward or back, i reset it and its fine.

Nitro cars are fast.. fast like hell, but they need a lot of maintenance. battery operated are fast too, mine hits 40kmph+ when fully charged but the fun lasts for about 20 mins or so!

aren't you 25 and working?

Anyway, try and get one with a different frequency from the Maisto's so that you can join us during our RC meets.
