Dear Sid. I have left a very detailed response to CL55 on the same thread. I hope he's seen it. And I shall definitely let you know when the launch stage for Mumbai comes in. We at HPI would first like to get together a big RC fraternity and racers so that the meet has enough competition. The rules are simple. Winner moves ahead and then races at other locations. But again, thats a long term plan. We need racers first.

@Kapil: Please let us know about the HPI event in mumbai, it will be awesome to meet/race fellow RC enthusiasts.

Mura, that looks fast...but for some reason i believe that I would want more cornering action hence the Drift aspect. read up on the D-box for a lil more action. 120KM/hr is insane absolutely.
Infact I'd say take that to the speed run.you'll surely decimate the competition.
The one i'm getting is 81 KM'h top end but keeps a constant drift too at about 60 odd.
I was wondering if some of us in Mumbai have basement space to set up a nice track too.
I'd love to see vids or pics of you ripping that beast!

True. Hpi has no vehicle that does that speed from stock. But again, you need to see at what price you get a serpent. Its competition RC. And for that kind of money, yes there are HPI RS4's modded with a lot of parts to touch insane speeds.

But anyways, its always good to prove your metals worth. Put up a video for you driving that thing. I'll have my friend Mickey help you create a bang at the speedrun. Fair deal?

@Nitroxx - finding a place to run your RC will be real tough, I cant think of any place that is big enough with a tarmac/level surface where you can exploit the cars full potential.PM when u get the car, we should setup a meet.

@Mura - How many RC cars do you own. Can you post pics/videos of the complete collection.

Radio: Sanwa M11 , Sanwa servos

Engine: RB SpeedLine

I have about 20 cars, all scales from 1/36 to 1/5.

Will post Pics of all by Monday.

Did you know HPI had a 1/8 competition Car in their product range a few years ago?

Try finding the Name of that.

I have more than 6 years experience in RC cars.

There have been several competition series launched by HPI. So for me to pin point one would be difficult. However it feels good to know that there exist real racers in India. Looking forward to seeing the video and the pics of your collection. And yes, you should sport the Serpent in the speedrun.

But since you asked, there were three main kits. The top of the line PROCEED that is capable of speeds in excess of 70MPH in around 3secs, then the famous RS4 which is still a very popular kit and also the RS4 Pro3 that was the Hara edition.

A treat to all RC fans.

Dear Friends.

I had to share this post with all of you here. It contains pictures of the winnner of the HPI car of the month for 2005 and also the winner of the 2005 contest. Trust me, even I thought it was a real Lancer.

Enjoy.

Hey. Thats sadly is not a production body. But the kit is an RS4 underneath. The rest is the hardwork and painting and mods of the creator of that car. You can get a Lancer body and paint it as you like.
