Does anyone stock the imported fuel in Bangalore or Chennai? I know of people in Mumbai. They cant ship to Chennai. If good fuel is not available, doesnt make much sense to go nitro considering the cost of these machines. Or will go for a cheap one, use any fuel and bash till it dies.

Else we have to brew on our own. I am checking the availability and quality of the ingredients in chennai. Any pointers will help.

Checked on availability of raw materials for glow fuel. Nitomethane is rare, but available for 900Rs/500ml, Castor oil about 70Rs/litre and Methanol is 250Rs/5 litres.

If we brew 70% methanol+20% Castor+10% Nitromethane, cost comes around 215Rs/litre. Ready fuel is available from Mr Gupta at 250Rs/litre. Good feedback on his fuel. Saves time and effort in sourcing and brewing. Need to compare costs with imported to see value.

Opened up my Enzo FXX for a bit of DIY service. Used ALOT of WD-40(also known as magic juice as per Jalsa_77!!) I took the car down for a bit of a spin, tested its range to around 40mts, then stopped coz there was some traffic approaching!! The car runs BEAUTIFULLY now...All i need are some new tires!!

Is WD40 safe on the electronics? Lot of manufacturers are suggesting to use it after running the RC to remove dust and keep off rust. But no one says if we must avoid the electronics.

WD40 is the safest on Electronics and Electricals as well, the solution has water displacement which is what 'WD' stands for. So no moisture, dust or rust can damage your stuff. Go ahead and use liberally on any and all RC parts and components.

Guys, this may have been asked before. Is the Thunder Tiger and Team Associated models the same pieces? Especially the Thunder tiger MTA4 S24 and MGT 4.6. Why is the cost so different? What are the differences if any.

Did some research. Sadly the truth is Thunder Tiger now owns Associated.

Most of Associated's stuff is TT. And they also use the TT engines. I learned TT MTA4 S28 and Sledge hammer S50 is identical to the Associated's famous MGT 4.6 and MGT 8.0. It evens looks the same, just different decals.
But they have clearly divided the markets and where Associated is popular, TT is not projected and vice versa. Smart marketing.

At this rate, most US companies will get picked up by Asians.

Absolutely Right.

Team Associated sells Race Spec highend cars like the T4 truck, B44 , B4 buggies which are Made in the US by them.

They sell the ThunderTiger stuff mainly for non race spec RTR models.

When Team Associated launches a Race or comp based car it Designs itself and sometimes builds them but if is not a Race spec but Fun RTR like Monster trucks it rebadges TT.

The 8.0 MGT is slow in the top end but should have a good low end punch.

The 4.6 MGT will have more top end pull because the lower displacement engine will rev higher.

I have not driven the MGT 8.0 but have driven the MGT 4.6.
