| ![]() Like Ofna Losi = GS Racing I think alot of brands are already available here in India ![]() And also some brands are available at good prices. I prefer a truggy more than the monster trucks as they are much faster. |

| ![]() Hi guys, I need some expert opinion on which nitro R/c to buy. I have two option: 1. HPI Savage X 4.6 (monster truck) 2. HPI MT2 3.0 (Truggy) I was considering MT2 but on some forums i read that its front end is weak and alot of bashing and jump can really ruin things for you. Is that right? |

Carefully evaluate your purpose, budget etc and choose one. If you have the budget, go for both. ![]()

| ![]() I agree with ajo, if you do have the budget go for both. But given a choice of only one of them i would pick the savage 4.6 with reverse. |

| ![]() Hey Guys After mura advise i have decided to go with the ebay stores namely rcboyz i have a choice between the bandit xl5 and e-firestorm.... Id like to do some bashing and racing as well... Which would be easier to upgrade? Also will any 1/10 motor and esc fit on any 1/10 rc vehicle.... Was thinking about a 4600kv motor and the combined esc for an upgrade??? |

If you plan to run 3S 11.1v Lipo get Motors with Lower kv like 4600, get higher kv like 7700 if you only plan to run 6 to 8 cell Nimh. I prefer the Castle Creations Mamba Max Combo or the Sidewinder. See This for more info: http://www.castlecreations.com/suppo...ring_chart.pdf

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Mura, how does the deans plug work? Have you used them? Is it adaptive to NiMh Tamiya type plugs. Is it plug and play or solder type? My Buggy is on the way. |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() I use Deans on all my Electric cars, you have to cut off the Tamiya style plug and solder the Deans on both the ESC and Battery. Battery - Female ESC - Male It has way more current capacity then the Tamiya plug. BTW what battery do you have and what charger do you use? Also get the original Deans and not the cheap Chinese ones. EDIT: If you are going to use the stock ESC and motor it does not make a big difference, they are a must only if you have Brushless system. | ![]() @ajo - I am using deans connectors on the all my battery packs. Upgraded from the standard tamiya connectors 3 months ago. They work way better than the tamiyas. You will have to solder them. yes you can replace the Nimh tamiya plugs with the deans plugs. |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() If you are using the starter battery it will not have decent "punch" ie pickup. Get atlest 4000+mah good quality cells like Intelect and use a Fast charger capable of charging at 5 amps. |
