BTW how is the X-Ray XB808, someone here has one and is entering it in the buggy class.

GRP is also officially available in mumbai, need to know what tyres to buy for the trophy 3.5 for track use?

Will post the entry forms soon.
It is not an "upgraded" engine , the 8ightT i have is not the RTR but the Kit - so it did not come with an engine.

The Xray is a nice buggy but it all depends on the driver

I cant suggest tire choice without knowing the track surface.

I have mulitiple sets of tires and will swap according to the surface i run on.

Entry forms?, any updates?

Also get 2 spare spark plugs and few sets of rear tires.
This is wicked..but can't fit it in my budget just yet..And this is my first gas powered R/C and it already seems to be a bit too much for me. But it would be on my shopping list next year..

I thought of getting extra tires..Do they wear off soon?

How to check if the ESC has been damaged? I did some continuous high speed bashes on the TT XB. The reverse and brakes doesnt seem to be working anymore.

Reset the ESC, no change. Throttle and steering is fine, no reverse/brake. ESC emits a red light when brakes are engaged.

@Mura: 90% of the people I know have never driven on a track. It is going to be fun to try out for the first time. Will post the forms within the next 3 days. Not too sure of the surface.

Have you upgraded the engine on your baja? Is it worth the extra cash?

@ Ajo - Speak to Thinder Tiger customer support. If the ESC is faulty im sure it will be covered under warranty.

Go Brushless

The ESC usually stops working when it fails, if you only dont have brake and reverse some setting has changed.

Brushless is certainly on my mind. Can you suggest any cheap combos that will fit this one?

I tried resetting the ESC several times. No change. Could there be any issue with the motor or something else? The ESC is emitting a red light when reverse is engaged.

Thanks Mura, will try it.

Another quick question: What is the correct amp to charge receiver hump packs? I got few from Amain hobbies. The HPI (1200mah) one says 1amp, Reedy power (1600mah) says 0.5amp.

Hey,

Does your ECS red light keep flashing when you have no movement from your radio??? and does you motor make any kind of sound while engaging throttle on the radio.

Yes, the red light keeps flashing. The throttle is fine, but no reverse/brake. But no sound form the motor.

Welcome to Tbhp.

My second R/C!!!

Hi guys.. I have bought a HPI E-firestorm 10T, my second R/C car .
And as usual I ran in to problem. Why cant thing be straight in my life!!!

So i am turning to you guys for help.

On giving throttle (Forward/Reverse) the motor is working but the power is not being transferred to wheels. I believe its a transmission failure. Am I right or there can be something else that I need to look into?

On sudden throttle I can see some spark in the motor. Is it normal?

Check the motor pinion gear and the spur gear mesh , and make sure your slipper clutch is set properly.

The Kit comes with a manual , so read it to make yourself familar with your truck.

And yes sparks are normal.

That looks nice, but why is the ride height so low? , use the shock spring clips to raise the ride height.
