Hi Guys,

My Mom is currently in USA, and I am planning to get some RC stuff when she comes back in Dec. Since I want to keep my expense under$500,so I have created following 2 options:

Option 1: Upgrade my E-firestorm 10T to Brushless system to comp specs.
Planning to get one of the following ESC/Motor –
1.Mamba Max/CMS6900/ESC Motor Combo 1/10
2.GTB/Velociti Racing Brushless System (5.5)
3.Havoc Spec Brushless System (10.5)
XTown R/C | Motors / Speed Controllers | Motor / ESC Combos | Brushless Combos

OR

Option 2: Get 4pk Tx/Rx Combo

Another Newbie Question - Is it worth Hopping-up E-Firestorm 10T to comp level?

[pics] HPI Baja 5T 1/5 Scale RC Truck, It's HUGE!

Powered by a 26cc 2-stroke gas engine, 8000 RPM clutch, and an all-alloy differential. This thing weighs 40 pounds and the photos don't show how huge it is. It scares people HAHAHA!

Looks mean. Any pictures with something else next to it, for reference on size? And acceleration and speed figures?

Thanks I'm not sure about acceleration, but stock they run about 72kph. That's not extremely fast in the realm of RC cars, but keep in mind the size and weight of this. They are easily modded to go twice as fast though.

I attached two photos to show some scale. The car next to it is a 1/10 car, which is fairly large as it is.

I also found a YouTube video showing its acceleration, which is very fast.

The Baja 5T was never available at that cost in India. Expect to pay a Lakh plus.

Details of the race has been posted on a separate thread. The race is a all brand event and not just HPI. The intention is to promote the hobby. No restriction on any brands.
