I was planning to buy HPI make..... Or if you can suggest me any other brand.
I'm just upgrading from Electric cars to Petrol/Nitro based RC cars... Any suggestions welcomed.......

Good news for RC racers in the south. We will have a proper track shortly outside Chennai. The talks are on. Plans to setup a club as well. Will let you know as soon as I have more info.

RC 4WD Truck - Help To Buy One

Hi Guys,

This is not regarding a serious RC Racing. Just want to gift a "4WD RC Truck - Electric" for my friend's kid.

I would like to know how cheap I can get a "real 4WD" RC truck which can go around in a garden or around home.

Also I am interested to buy one for me too :P

Can I get anything lesser in size than a 1:10 scale. What would be the price ? By budget is max 5000 INR for me and 3000 INR for my friend's kid.

Is there any place in Chennai, India or in India where I can buy in stores or order online ?

Hope our RC chaps can help me out :P

Kannan

Hey Kannan. I really don't know where you can get something that reasonably priced. Plus, with the curent ban on import of cheap chinese made toys, its going to be even more difficult.

Hey Hornet, what was the quote you received in India for the RS4?

My brother's colleague just picked up a Kyosho Inferno rally from Singapore, which can be used offroad as well. He also considered HPI RS4, Thundertiger ER-1 Subaru, Tamiya etc. Amazing speed according to him. Planning to check it out this week. He recommended me a Kyosho truck. Not very keen on it. I am awaiting stock too.

Gosh I used to be into R/C cars many years ago - but I haven't had the time lately.

However I do have a brand new Nitro TC3 just sitting there if anyone wants to buy it.
I built the chassis - but never bought a motor or electronics for it. It has never run. Please PM me if anyone is interested. I have plenty of spare parts as well I will give you a good price.
Also I have 8 "turbo" style glow plugs that are new - let me know if someone wants them.

I have a fully working Mugen MBX4-RR with Hitec Digital servos and JR R1 radio. I also put in a Rossi R125 Black Magic engine. Those seem to be pretty rare now. I think I'm gonna keep this one though
