For that burst of adrenaline
Born to be Wild - Steppenwolf
Can I Play with Madness - Iron Maiden
Highway Star - Deep Purple (Almost ended up being one - now its been banned )

For most long drives
Doors
Beatles
Simon n Garfunkel
Lynyrd Synyrd

Absolutely no classical music - almost makes me off

Riding into the Sunset
Top Gun Anthem

Doors for long drives and anything with a beat for city driving. some of the songs that will always find a place on my CD changer are

1. Riders of the Strom (the Original by Doors... not the NFS2 track.. I like that too)
2. All songs from Dhoom.
3. Atleast one album of MJ
4. Latest Tamil hits...
5. Thiruvasagam By Ilaiyaraja (Slows me down actually.... I end up doing 80's whn this Cd is playing)

I listen to a lot of alternative and rock while driving. Coldplay, Oasis, Creed, Led Zeppelin and Bob dylan make for good listening. The music which really soothes my nerves while driving in the Bangalore traffic is Mark Knopfler.
