Just came across a album "40 Greatest Road songs"... Amazing songs and truly for those who love good music while driving. (The only thing I have against this collection is that it does not include Road House Blues by The Doors, other than that it pretty satisfactory)

So we can safely assume that that is one of your favourites. And this collection does not offer it. Just make a copy and add the missing one.

Man! you guys are going to start making me hate the album!!

No it does not have either of the above mentioned songs. The album has more of a country/soft rock/pop flavor... Probably that is the reason for the absence of the psychadelic rock/southern rock numbers!

Currently on a strong dose of ABBA ranging from their hits in 1971 to 1980. Love the Ring Ring & the Nina, Pretty Ballerinas.

Everly Brothers, Connie Francis, Jim Reeves, Cliff Richard, Carpenters, Beatles, S&G and so on.

I had a firm favourite for many years. It was "Everybody wants to rule the world" by Tears for Fears and Tom Petty's "Learning to fly" came second.
A few years ago, Mark Knopfler came out with an album called "Sailing to Philadelphia" and one of the songs from that album has taken over as my favourite driving song. It's called "Speedway at Nazareth".

Aditya.....Sailing To Philadelphia is one of my all time favs too (apart from Hangar 18 - Megadeth) and to be honest u r the first person I have come across who likes this song...cheers mate...rock on!!!!!!
