You guys should check out the album - "Top Gear Seriously Cool Driving Music 2CD".

It's available on Amazon right now, and has some pretty good songs (including some of my favourite songs).

nbr, if you deify Tiesto, you must try Freq (e.g. his songs like "carbon based life forms") and Armin Van Buuren.

If you dig them, I'll lead you on to some other trance acts I like.

Enjoy!

I've found one lately:
This love, sung by Sarah Brightman.
Something great to start a long drive with.

Same with Rebecca Pidgeon. Especially the Harlem.

Mahwash, who is famous for their Persian ghazals and classicals are special find this month. Their music can actually relax you down so much that you will be very happy to see people rushing with their vehicles while you completetly enjoy the drive comfortably giving them way.

I have seen my choice of music greatly vary by mood, time of day, working day or holiday, spirited vs relaxed drive etc. etc. Butttttttttttttttttttttttt of late, it has started varying by the car too! Last night, I went for a drive in the rains with Dad. There was something special…something classic about the drive in an old-school machine, a drenched Mumbai, great conversation and generous supply of bhajiya’s + coffee.

Some greats from the 60’s & 70’s churned out of the iPod. Songs that we particularly enjoyed:

Lucky lips
Stay (Just a li’l bit longer)
Sherry
California dreamin’
There goes my everything
Oh Carol
Don’t be cruel
Strangers in the night
You are so beautiful
Do you love me?
Corrina Corrina
Sittin' in the balcony
Born to be wild

GTO, That's some great songs you've listed.
I would keep a copy of them wherever I go.
