2. Rise up by Yves Larock
3. Just cant get enough by Black eyed peas
4. Give me everything by Pibull, Afrojack

All time favourites would be the Hindi & English Oldies from the 60s/70s

Wow, this thread stretches all the way from 2004! I've randomly read a bunch of posts, all very interesting choices.

My usual favourite is any Kishore Kumar compilation, I feel that they are timeless treasures.

But my current favourite is a personal selection from MTV's Coke Studio, which is much like MTV Unplugged, but by Pakistani Artists. Some beautiful renditions from this include Toomba, Dastaan E Ishq, Bari Barsi & Husn E Haqiqi.

I know most of you'll wouldn't have heard them, but just search on You Tube for coke studio and you could be hooked.

Oh and the Indian version of Coke Studio starts this week on MTV, if it's anything close to the original, it's going to be a super hit!

I would make do with playing songs off my mobile phones on loudspeaker when I shuttled between Pune and Mumbai in my humble '07 Alto Lxi. For some strange reasons which I am not sure about even after all these years, I never got an aftermarket stereo. But with the SX4, it has been a 'rocking' time.
Prefer soft music over loud on most days.Instrumentals have always had a special place in my heart. Among my favorites:
comptine d'un autre été from the Amelie soundtrack and
Yumeji's Theme from the soundtrack of that beautiful movie "In The Mood For Love"
Enjoy The Ride and Gained the world - both from Morcheeba are also among my favorites

For days when adrenaline is called for I do have some choice ones:

Fuel - Metallica
Eye of the Tiger - Survivor
Feel Good Inc - Gorillaz (not everybody's choice for a "pump up" song )

These are the ones that come to mind right now, probably because they are on my playlist as of now and hence I listen to them pretty regularly

2)I love a rainy night by Eddie Rabbit.
3)Tum itna jo muskara rahe ho by Jagjit Singh.
4)Hotel California (Live version) by Eagles.
5) When you say nothing at all by Ronan Keating.
6) Aye zindagi gale laga le by Suresh Wadkar and many more (mostly sung by Kishore Da, Mohd. Rafi)

For me, to make rainy drives more musical, here is a my list of favourites:

- Another rainy day in New York City by Chicago
- London Town (silver rain was falling down upon the dirty ground of London Town) by Paul Mc Cartney
-I love a rainy night by Eddie Rabbit
-Listen to the Rhythm of the falling rain by Everly Brothers (the best version) with cover versions by The Cascades and again by Jason Donovan
- Rimjhim gire sawan by Kishore Kumar Manzil (excellent video)
- Barkha rani by Mukesh Jawaab
- Aaj Rapat jaaye by Kishore Kumar and Asha B Namak Halaal (excellent video)
- Dekho baarish ho rahi hain by Anu Malik ( was hesitant to put this one but then its OK!)
-Bheegi bheegi raato mein by Kishore Kumar and Lata Ajnabi
-Pyar hua ikrar hua hain by Manna Dey and Lata Shree 420 (beautiful timeless classic with great filming and direction)
-Brishti brishti brishti (in Bengali) by Lata Mangeshkar music by Salil Chowdhury (melody truly sublime)
