Re: Your favourite song while driving

This is bit of OT though related to music.

Recently I had been to Paris and they were a musicians playing in front of Eiffel Tower. I believe it was a Latin American Music (Mexican). The band was mostly using the flute and bass instruments are I really loved it. But couldn't buy that as I wasn't sure if they were selling the same music that they were playing and also I felt 15 Euros was too expensive for a CD.

I would really grateful, if there is someone here who have come across that music, and could point me to the source where I can download the music.

Cheers,
Rajesh

Been there, liked it and bought the CD. The shipment has arrived but I still have to open the boxes. I will see what I can do once I find the CD, hopefully within the next few weeks.
And yes, I listened to the entire CD and it is worth it!

Re: Your favourite song while driving

I guess the list of songs to listen to while driving is endless. Here are a few that spring to mind that not only refer to roads or cars, (even if its just in the title) but are great car audio tracks

1. Counting blue cars - Dishwalla ( from their fantastic 'pet your friends' album)
2. Drive - The Cars
3. Highway star - DP
4. Road to hell - Chris Rea
5. Highway to hell - AC DC
6. Life is a highway - Tom Cochrane
7. Telegraph road - Dire straits
8. On every street - Dire straits
9. Heavy Fuel - Dire Straits
10. Where the streets have no name - U2

Re: Your favourite song while driving

endless picks from the magical list of rock bands from the 70's and 80's.

'the' song for the road would be (a singular pick) would be 'love is a killer' by vixen - who beyond any doubt were THE most talented girls rock band ever.

check them out:

No clue! Perhaps you could try and download it right off YouTube, using Real Player, and then converting it into an audio-file/mp3.

David Gilmour & Richard Wright, live @ Royal Albert Hall.

Re: Your favourite song while driving

This will turn out to be a long list. My daily drive songs are purely based on my mood for that day, but then again I think I can put a few here.
1) Northern Exposure - Vol. 1
2) Metallica - Unforgiven, Tuesday's gone
3) Buddha Bar - Random songs from Vol 1 - 10
4) Some select Chemical Brothers songs
5) Some select Crystal Method songs
6) Pink Floyd - Random songs, though my all time fav. will be Poles Apart, Comfortably Numb & Wish you were here which I can listen to any time.
7) Random House songs e.g Disco Science, Mandarin Girl, Red Shoes etc.
8) Pendulum - Salt in the wounds, Watercolor
9) 009 Sound System - Standing Stones

Re: Your favourite song while driving

A sacrilege to music lovers if I may say!

Another nice alternative on road are audio books.
I had mentioned quite some time earlier, but will do so again.

Audio books are amazing to listen. I have been a happy listener for
the last 1.5 years. Books are narrated as per the language and cultural style, that they need to convey. The best example is PG Wodehouse. When its narrated in true British style, the humor is just too much!

Check out:

Download Audio Books with Audible.com Online Digital Audio Book Store

PS: I have forgotten what is road rage. The longer the traffic the better. I get more "books time" ! Also this way I have finished much more books, than I could have read, with the time that we have at our disposal nowadays!
