Re: Question: Review of online electronics stores

How about the online bookstore that also sells mobiles? Flipkart.

I have heard they are good for books. Haven't tried them yet, although I mean to soon.

Hi DCEite,

Can you explain the reason behind this ? I have dealt with them couple of times, and never had any complaints. In fact the items have been delivered ahead of the promised time, and they always use bluedart to deliver as well.

I have bought a few items from Gadgets Online Shopping - Buy Laptops, Mobile, Digital Camera, Gifts, PSP, HDD at Low Prices India at Cafegadgets and www.futurebazaar.com and had good experiences with both sites ( although i have heard a few bad things about Futurebazaar from fellow BHPians ) .

Re: Question: Review of online electronics stores

There is another website for ndtvshopping.com

They offer significant discounts as well, which at times were questionable. I had called up ne of their offices once to inquire how they were offering such a huge discount and one of the ladies told me that they get it in bulk from singapore.

Flipkart is one of the best. They are fast and have reasonable prices.

Re: Question: Review of online electronics stores

I have bought few electronic items from e-zone.com and their service, accuracy on product information and delivery time frame was found to be genuine.

No complaints from me on them. I would suggest E-Zone.

Re: Question: Review of online electronics stores

I hear good report about Shopyourworld from some fellow BHP members (though I don't have any first hand experience)

Global Shopping: Buy from International Stores like Amazon, Victoria

Highlights:
1) Shop from US, UK stores like Amazon, Buy, BestBuy etc. in Indian rupees.
2) Affiliated to ICICI and HDFC Credit cards; get discounts by using these Credit Cards.
3) If shopped below 10K it can be duty free (provided its sent by overseas address to you as a gift, checkout the site for details).

Re: Question: Review of online electronics stores

I have used :

1. Ebay for cables, router, PC components. Just stick to power sellers.
2. TheITdepot for computer components. They are good too.
3. Flipkart for mobiles. They are best for mobiles along with books and CDs. I got my mobile in one day after placing the order. Prices are lowest.
4. JJ Mehta's online store for camera. They are reliable.

I dont know what bad experience you had, but I have purchased a mp3 player & 2 memory cards from there (in the last 2-3 years).

In my first purchase, they shipped me the mp3 player model that was different from the one I had bought ( and was cheaper by 200/-). I pointed it out to customer care and they arranged for the wrong product to be pciked up from my house and reshipped the correct model.

My last purchase was 1 month ago. The product was covered under the 7 day delivery guarantee. On the 7th day, I got a call from customer care informing me that product is out of stock and will be shipped in 3 days time. I was in no hurry to get the product, hence decided to ignore the 7 day guarantee thing. Today evening I got an email from them regretting the delay in shipment and a GV of 50% the value of my last purchase that was delayed! All this, without me even mentioning about the delay.

Personally, I am impressed by there customer service.

Regards,

How about Amazon's Indian portal?

Hello guys,

Recently happened to bump on to this site.

Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more

Its an Indian version of Amazon with the Indian currency payment option I guess as the prices listed in Indian currency. I want to know this is a reliable one like Amazon.com?

They are using the payment gateway by shop your world
http://www.shopyourworld.com

Does any one have any purchase experiences with this site and how reliable is this?

Agreed, but some of the items which are not available here is up for sale. Am interested in that part.

Any one has any happy experiences with them?
