135 was way too much, could not have been degree Celsius .

This is a bit OT. Only pure water boils at 100 deg and freezes at 0 deg. When impurities are present, the boiling point rises and freezing point lowers. It is not uncommon to find the operating range from -20 to 150 deg celsius for coolants in common passenger cars.

10 years and 86300+. At Green Track after a wash.

The paint is original. There are some minor dents, not all are caused by me, but I never bothered to repaint it.

Superb Photos TSK, Not sure whether you have a photo with Safari front facing the camera, IMHO, the second picture, with a close up of the Safari front in the lower right quarter with the hill background could have been more meaty, by any chance, did you took one like that?

And where is this location and did you had some time for a travelogue, might be helpful for others, Sorry, If I am asking too much.

Clean Man.....!

10 yrs and still looking great. Congrats.

TATA's are always Bang On when it comes to Alloy design.

The older one's are unique, and the present one's are awesome.

ADC,

Nice to see an update! Good to know that your trips & the vehicle are going strong as usual.

Be careful of the clutch. For the kind of outings you do, you need to be extra careful.

8 months, 21 days, 1 Western India trip and 20000 kms - A Happy Family!

Here are 2 pics of the recent Western India trip. The travelogue is undecided as Del-Mum-Goa-Mum-Del is a common route and also because I have become a lousy writer.

That is some well maintained 10 year old Safari! The paintwork still looks immaculate in the photo and of course the OEM alloys is unique. Kudos for maintaining the car.

Thanks v&v! The first photo is at Sawantwadi Lake and the second one at someplace in Amboli Ghats. Travelogue will take sometime in posting as photos are to be sorted and office starts tomorrow, but then again as hvkumar and you requested, going OT; for any person doing Mum-Goa or vice versa, please avoid NH17. Banda border to Hathkhamba (or so I think - 50 kms before Chiplun) is a disaster and so is 50 odd kms out of Chiplun to a little before Nagothane. Also Gujarat border to Dahisar is pothole wrecked (but not the return leg) and so is Peth Naka (NH4) to Sangli. I shall cover this in the Tlog but just posting for information.

@sumannandy:
The car looks like out of showroom. My car has just done 6 years and it looks like a car from stone-age. Might be I donot polish neither wash it adding to that I own a WHITE ELEPHANT. I would advise everyone not to purchase a white car, it pains when even a minor scratch is visible and spoils look.

P.S: How much the alloys costed and did you do a repaint. And that hefty bull-guard is blocking the headlights, you asked before also but by looking at pictures it looks as it has blocked some portion of illumination, Also how did you managed to maintain the bumpers, my bumpers have come out of their original position due to traffic hitting any suggestions on those perspect .

Thank you. The bullbar is indeed blocking the headlight, but it cannot be adjusted any more. OSRAM nightbreakers are not effective. I am thinking of installing external lights.

The alloys are original. Paint is also original. I wash, and wax regularly.

I am just hoping that my car would also do the kind of high mileage your car has done. And I am closely watching your ownership thread for tips and tricks (I have no plan to sell the car) .

The bumpers are new.

^^Original paint.. Heck that is a 10 year old vehicle with that finish. Anyway, you have fitted new bumpers, what were their costs?

@mods: Sorry if it looks like hijacking this thread by asking altogether different questions.

@sumannandy: You could post the reply of this post in your car's ownership thread, as answering queries here will spoil this thread.

Thanks.
