Extra accessories are good. sometimes they make your car stand out and sometimes they make you stand out(of your car).

Six month update

Our car has completed 6 months today, and has clocked 6370 kms on the odo. Had fixed up an appointment with Concorde Motors for a regular checkup. Wheel alignment was first on the list, after a mis-adventure of driving over a divider stone last week. Got the front fog lamps repaced with OEM ones, as one of them had stopped functioning, mostly due to water seeping into it. The "LX" monogram on the tail gate slipped off, and have replaced it with a do-it-yourself silver sticker. Fuel consumption is hovering between the 9.3 to 9.8 kmpl marks during refills, for city runs.
Also to mention two meet-ups with the traffic police during these six months. One for parking violation, and the other for driving with high beam in city
Rest all fine.

Nice looking ride you got there, dkamath. The DIY silver sticker has been nicely done.

What would you think about removing all the 'free' advert stickers from your rear windscreen?

Nice pics, Hrishi!, and the fiirst one in particular.
Thanks, kkdelhi! Letting the stickers remain, partly for their "reflective" appeal in night traffic. Not that the huge girth of the car is an eyesore already, hehe.
Cheers.

Why dear friend? The original LX Monogram is available for around Rs. 150 in TASC.

Hi heres mine....2.2Dicor, Feb2008, Clocked 6000Kms.
Cycus Grey...fitted with reverse camera and proximity sensors LCD screen for the same is compatible with aDVD player...though not yet installed DVD player..Have Sony Ixplod MP3 player with USB port and Aux input. Seat covers by the dealer.

Best: features, look and the feel.

Problem areas: sqeaky noise at times, gaps and clearances arround door is pathetic...cheap plastic parts and believe it or not had a rat enter the ceiling of the cabin and damage the hose for rear windsheid wiper washer...hmmm...and same was not covered in extended warranty. Has anyone had similar experiences...

Also...which dealer is better for servicing in bangalore...prerana or manipal...enlighten me.

@ hrag: ultra cool pics buddy, especially the first one. yours seem to be a EX, so how much did the alloys cost you in the showroom itself?

EX 4x4 comes with alloys as stock, no extra money for them

Hi empeesaju, a rat did gain entry into the glove box compartment and nibbled into my spare headlamp bulbs box, the cover of my photocopied documents, and left behind droppings on the floor area and rear seat as well. Placed Mortein cubes at sertain places inside the car, on dadu's suggestion, and have not heard from this visitor ever since .

Concorde Motors, Mysore Road, is the only place that i visit, and quite worthy of being recommended. Service bookings received on the no. 66669401. No idea about other service centres.

Hi ibm_jennifer, not sure if you have noticed this, but i have happened to observe many LX variants with this monogram missing. At first, thought it was deliberate action, but when mine fell off, and that too while being washed, realized that the adhesive surface is just not enough to support this 3d monogram.
If you look at the EX and VX, there is an extra length in the alphabets, and no space between them, probably making it bond well/hold itself better on the plastic cladding. This might be a stupid/illogical reasoning, but not buying another monogram for now .
