methinks, the border actually highlights the photograph.

you mean like a painting / poster ? to be hung on a wall ?
I think the black and white kinda neutralizes the color sensors .

Well its just that the border highlights the picture much more, nothing else.

Some pics from my recent trip to Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary. Didn't have time to play around with the camera. Hardly spent an hour at the sanctuary.

OT : Dilip how about shooting this coming weekend at the Hebbal Lake ? Just to catch the mist above the water. What say ?

I saw the above photographs on Wikipedia, as a result of search for this lake.

@Rahul
The crocodile shots are killer dude!

@Johnda
Haha, no crab curry...this one was way too small too!

@Riju
Well the crab was in between 2 rocks so it had no where to go, i had to really get close and the poor animal was trying to go further back but it was already at the end of the crevice.
Again, brilliant shots from your lens!

@Samurai
No,not from a telephoto Lens. The crabs are pretty co operative Well actually i got it cornered in such a manner that it couldn't get away. By the way it was really small, maybe a little larger than the size of my thumbnail...and the camera was a good 7 to 8 cms away from it.

Here are a few shots from my Telephoto Lens

Mukul the 1st pic and the pic of the squirrel takes the cake man. Brilliant colors there.

I think too many things have been covered in your macro. Focus more on one single subject.

I made Bison burgers today. It is supposed to be more flavorful than beef and healthier too. It lacks the raw taste that beef has which is a big plus for me.

Great shots. Nice HDR, I don't know if this has been asked earlier, but which software do you use for HDR?
