Bellisimo

Hey guys,
those are some really great pics. I am a newbie to this forum and am really glad to see some great artists in our team.

I thought I'd also add one photo of my own and find out your reactions. This was taken using my soapbox(Nikon S51).

Hope to catch a lot of good photos and share some too.

@TSEA
I have not worked on GIMP or Corel, I do my pp is PS alone and when in bulk, I prefer Lightroom to quickly process tonnes of images. OK so for my sky shots, I do exposure blending. I had prescribed the r ecipe for that before in this same thread, citing a horse pic as an example!

@clevermax
Brilliant Black and white!

Was out in the evening at the San Francisco Piers

Black and white pictures always seem to be much more thought provoking and have a deeper meaning than color ones. Even at times when the same picture is seen in the two settings, the B&W seem to stand out and make you tend to stare at it and think... Is it just me or others also feel like that?
Thanks a lot Exhaust_Note, and you wrote my exact thoughts about b/w. The moment I opened this picture, I made it b/w and did further processing on the b/w picture. Somehow I never felt like preserving the colors in it.

@TG: Thanks a lot, I think its the first time a different type of sky from you - looks hazy... but it adds to the beauty of the shot.

@clevermax
Yeah, it was a little hay, the Sanf Francisco Bay area always is a little foggy, sometimes its so foggy that you dont see the sun whole day!

A really high high 5!

@TG: Great capture. It is like you've given life to the characters in my earlier composition! Care to share the exif?

Another shot from the beach.. Processed B/W, in an attempt to get rid of the colors and still give the evening sky a decent look..

Thats right. The sky was really dramatic, rain and the same time partially bright . Far on the right and left it was raining and the middle part was so bright. Could not get the rain on right side in this composition

Hi SJ, you are painting different images on the same frame (same viewing angle from your house as earlier) !! Very interesting and awesome work. Are they done in panorama mode or you are cropping them to get that effect ? Keep it up, great work.

You got the point, all those were shot from my apartment terrace. I cropped them in pacasa for the panoramic feel and added bit of graduated tint.

Have you taken your D90 outdoors ? I really waited somany days to see some day time outdoor snaps from your new tool. Infact my traget was to buy the D90, I think I posted that earlier too. But compromised on the price part and got myself D60 with 2 lenses (18-55 and 55-200).
