Meghan,

Do you have an uncompressed version on flickr or some other site? I just want to check if it's due to diffraction or not.

Eating the sun
The Official non-auto Image thread-img_2565.jpg
We took it when me and couple of friends were on the beach.

On lookers were wondering what in the world we were up to.
As all they saw is my friend with his mouth wide open looking kinda "stupid"
Anyway it was his idea, I just took the pic.

Thank you brother. Yes I do play Piano and sometimes the guitar. But the Picture that you see is deceptive, the Grand piano does not belong to me.

As for the picture you've posted, IMO the edges are not very sharp or is it intentional? I like the way it stands on the coin. I'm no expert here...just my 2 cents...

@Meghan :
The picture is very well composed, but IMO it looks a tad too dark.
Just correcting the levels would enhance the sky and the clouds.
Just try it out.
Just my 2 cents...

Thanks Amith, have a blast and be sure to take the "services" of your best friend. This is one chance to make him look like a dork.

Thank you Yzfrj..!! Well to be frank,he is not my friend, actually he is an artist leaving nearby my house who is more than 30 years older than me

One more from my side.

Captured this one last year, to be precise - during my IXth STD class tour to Ooty.I admit that the electric lines are a bit disturbing here.I didn't notice the electric lines while taking this shot.Being lazy and bad at post processing, i didn't succeed in removing it

Crticism Welcome.

Fantastic shots all over guys !! In between I doubted if I am in the image thread, seeing the piano, guitar mentioning here and there. So are you musicians taking over the image thread ? (me a sleeping musician too !!)

I am on the 'learn by reading' stage since few days. Presently with 'The complete Kodak book of photography' (480 pages, printed in spain, 1989 edition). Every action is explained through photos, its a great book.
