Took this with my cell phone cam while coming home. Probably isn't any match for the greats here, but just thought of sharing.

@Amaan_urs
The Shots are from Kolkata,right? (Yellow Ambi taxi with WB-04 plate).

Whisp of a Bird feather under microscope (10X magnification,Dark ground illumination),seems to me offbeat to this thread though

My test shot with the new Sigma 18-50 2.8 lens. 'Bowled over' by the quality of this beautiful piece of glass.

Now I am waiting for the weekend !!

@shaju: Colorful shot there, but it doesn't seem to be sharp enough. Is it your processing?

Thanks Karthik, its only the colours, no quality for the snap !

Clever, I think our team-bhp server is compressing the pics a lot. There is no correction done on the original other than resizing and framing. I find the original on my PC very clear and sharp. Its taken on the 2.8 aperture on manual focus, so actual focus is on the front red pin, rest are clean blurr.

Here is another test with the same lens. I find the Nikon focus assist lamp very powerful. This is how a 1 year old will react to the focus assist lamp.
Aperture Priority, f/2.8, built-in-flash, 50mm.

I just saw this in your flickr, cute tiny creature, I have never seen one in real. You guys are in the wrong place I think. If you come to Bangalore, it will be a pure freak out with the excess choice of places to shoot.

I havent covered even 5% with my 5 weekend shoots (almost 16 hrs of clicking). Tomorow me and HW are heading towards Jakkur lake and probably GKVK campus, so be prepared to get bored to the core with wildlife may be something more ! Hope we spot some unique creatures !
