Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

This was shot outside a house in Baner area. The house's fence is full of these flowers on 3 sides.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Guys, a picture of mine got published in Better Photography, March'12

I dont have access to a scanner hence a cell phone click. I dont know why but sharpness and tonality is somewhat lost in print.

The actual image (a slightly tighter crop)

Happy to see this buddy. I am curious to see the color though. What format was given to BP (RGB/CMYK & TIFF/JPEG) ? I thought M-IV gives clean images upto ISO-3200 !! I stopped BP subscription after my neighbor started giving his copy to me. He went to US in Feb to visit his son and I cant access his copies until May

It was given in RAW, they did the processing
The image is actually pretty noise free, some noise was enhanced to get the B/W grainy feel.

The color version

I love color, I dont know how to explain that. If your mobile version is doing justice to the actual print, I must say BP has done a very bad job. I will pass my comment to Raj Lalwani

Now TG and Robi, if you guys are competing each other with NatGeo and BP, where would the rest of us here run to ??

Was a beautiful day in Dublin. Ventured out with my camera in a bid to click Black and Whites this time.

Took this yesterday..flying into Adelaide International Airport. Thanks to the friendly captain of the Virgin Australia 737 who allowed me into the cockpit!

Relax shaju.. no offense but BP can't be compared to Natgeo.. Myself and TG very well know how 'commendable' was the judgement of one of their senior correspondent in a photography contest
