Thanks sandsun, it was today as per paper calendar. I looked at the moon and indeed it is not a full moon. :(

F/8 rule has to be followed and may be i will even try some f/11 shots. Don't have a tripod.

Would be very very difficult to get real sharp photos without tripod, considering you will be using the highest possible focal length! at least try to keep the camera on some solid surface like a parapet or something similar and make sure you use self timer! All the best for the attempt

Liked the second one the most. Last one would have been beautiful in colors? That too an HDR? Just my thought.

Nice shot, real close. But one shine from eyes would have made it outstanding, guess it was shot during noon.

Good one.

I saw there birds during the evening walk near my home. They just scatter away on the mere sight of a kite and again rejoin the group. Really fun to observe them.

Nilgai at Velavadar

Here's a picture from the year end trip to Gujarat. The Nilgai was just beautifully contrasted by the red grassland.

More pictures and travelogue from the trip can be found here: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/travel...-paradise.html

Actually none of the pictures is an HDR. Those are slight adjustments that I did to the color channels while converting them to black and white in photoshop.

The Holi moon. I thought someone will beat me to a moon shot, since there were discussions going around regarding full moon.
