I've been getting the sms too every month. But the total amount at the end of the sms remains the same.

The online passbook does not show any deposit after April 2020 either.

Is this the same across India, or only limited to RPFC, Hyderabad?

Hyderabad office seems to be behind in reconciling their passbooks. I am in the same boat. I get SMS every month but the Passbook is still updated only until May 2020.

Getting SMS seems to be not linked to Passbook reconciliation, even when the SMS comes from EPFO office itself.

I recently raised a grievance for the same and it was closed immediately with a standard response stating that "Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, passbook reconciliation work has been delayed. It will be done as per availability of staff."

My EPF account is with the Chennai office; I can see the deposit for Jul-2020 listed on 27-Aug.

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

I can see another month's PF being deposited now. The transaction date is Sep 24th in the passbook and the contribution is for May 2020 that was to be deposited by mid-June. Looks like the blame squarely lies with PF clerks in Hyderabad.

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

Has anyone got interest credited to their PF account?
Typically happen in the Sept-Oct time frame, but no news as yet. Hence asking.

Interest for the FY 19-20 (upto March 2020) is not yet credited in account. Some years, it gets delayed.

All the PFs of last 3-4 months credited later, even in Mumbai. So no particular place is affected in isolation.

I think it should happen in December only, also in two parts i.e. 8.15% first and the remaining 0.35% later. There was some notification to this effect but without any dates mentioned in it.

Interest credit happens only after the MoF notifies it and that my friend is yet to happen this year. Talk about priorities

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

After relocating overseas, I had forgotten about EPF for more than a year and now I have picked up the task of 'withdrawal'. I spoke to my past employer and I was gladly informed that now the withdrawal is an 'online' process.

So with all excitement, I started the process to encounter the first roadblock "Error wihle AADHAAR authentication. Service temporarily unavailable".

After some retries I checked that many people have the same issue. So, it wasn't me.

After couple of days of retrying, finally I managed to get to the next screen on the portal.
Now, I am presented with 3 choices.

The "Provident Fund" Thread-withdrawal-options.jpg

So, which one of these is for the full and final withdrawal?

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

I am not sure SUN, but from what I remember hearing from one of my colleagues earlier is to do this twice - first for the PF Withdrawal ( form 10 ) and separately for the Form 10C withdrawal.

In the earlier manual process that I recall, I remember filling these two forms separately.

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

I logged in to check if interest for previous FY was credited, and I see that it has yet to be done- talk about promising to do it before Diwali.

However, what is of interest is that there is an option to see a New Passbook format with yearly balance, and for this FY, the EPFO has introduced two new columns- EPF wages and EPS wages and some amounts mentioned. Any idea why we have these new columns and how is the amount against them calculated?

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

I have been tweeting the ministry for the interest credit updates, however no one one seems to be interested to respond under the pretext of covid. May be if BHPians start tweeting, the sleeping officials and ministry might just wake up.

Re: The "Provident Fund" Thread

As per the article https://indianexpress.com/article/bu...ne-go-7100273/ the full interest is likely to credited by end of December in one go, if the interest rate of 8.5% is approved by Finance ministry in coming days.
