Don't worry IFT will not cause any worsening. It is part of the treatment

Calling Cochin/Kerala bhp-ians for info on Jivadhara

I am posting this on behalf of a friend who came across "Jivadhara" on the internet, while searching for treatment options for Cerebral Palsy. This institution located in Ernakulam, claims to use a new medical treatment that combines "Acupuncture" and "Electro-homeopathy".

Does anyone have any more information about either this institution, the treatment they provide and information about how successful this treatment is ?
My friend is based in Chennai, and while he is interested in trying this, would like to know more details before taking a decision.

Address : Near St:Sebastian's Church, Sebypuram, Chandrapura, Manjapra South P.O, Angamaly, Ernakulam District

Website : http://www.jivadhara.com/

Thanks !!!

"Gastric" does not cause 104 fever with chills. That means he is got infection somewhere in the body which has to be localised and treated with appropriate antibiotics. Infections could work havoc with sugar levels too.

Were cefixime, diclofenac, pantoprazole, domperidone prescribed by the homeo doctor?

Then you need to go back to him for a review.
I would prefer to go to a MD in General medicine.

re: Calling doctors/dentists/specialists on Team-BHP to provide free consultations

I'm suffering from patellar dislocation.
My left knee patella got dislocated first in 2007 when I was running fast in the rains.
I was taken to a hospital and got the patella back in place by a doctor. I rested for about 10 days and then forgot about it due to some other problems.

Then the same thing happened in 2010 when I was trying to get down from a raised platform and my jeans was a bit tight. An orthopaedic doctor from my building came home and got it back in its place. Next day got a plaster in the leg and kept it for 3 weeks.

Then it happened on 1 March 2013 when I was running fast while playing lawn tennis. The same doctor came to the club and fixed my leg because it's just 2 mins from my building. He told me to wear a knee brace for 3 weeks but I wore it for only 15 days because I had to go for my exams from the 17th day.

Now today morning I was in a bit of hurry and was about to sit in my car quickly when my right knee patella got dislocated and I fell down on the road. I quickly got it back in place within 10 secs by straightening my leg slowly. Somehow I managed to drive till home. Now I'm wearing a long knee brace which I intend to keep till the 20th because I have my exams from 21st.

So now my left patella has got dislocated thrice and the right one once.
What should be the further course of action? My doctor has suggested surgery for the left one.

Btw my age is 20 height is around 6 ft and weight 86kgs.

Ok, this is a bit strange question.

Only recently I have come to realise that people grow shorter with age. I see it in my 80 year old dad and 75 year old mom, and some uncles and aunts.

Can this process be slowed or stopped or reversed? Or is it inevitable with age?

Osteoporosis perhaps. I'll let BoneCollector and the other orthopedics answer

Most common cause of this is "osteoporosis" and this process can definitely be

slowed. Taking plenty of calcium (both in the diet and as calcium supplements),

exercising, taking hormone replacement therapy for post-menopausal women

(controversial) can all slow and/or stop osteoporosis.

In osteoporosis the bones become porous with a tendency to bend and break.

re: Calling doctors/dentists/specialists on Team-BHP to provide free consultations

Also a small query. My dad ( Age: 54, BMI: 29.8, 95 kgs 6 feet, diabetic on medication, known case of hypertension but controlled from last 1 year) is getting fever at regular intervals of about 40 days from the last 6 months. His BP is now controlled completely( 130/80) most of the times.

My questions are:

1. Whenever he gets his sugar level checked it comes out to be vastly different from 2 labs simultaneously. (390 pp and 200 pp from 2 diff. labs). Why is this? Both PP & fasting, there is a difference of just 5 mins. in giving samples. And he does not eat or do any energy intensive work during that 5 min period. Why such difference?

2. What about the regular fever thing? Why does that fever repeat with no reason at all. His diet is strictly controlled and he takes his diabetic medication without fail.

AFAIK it is due to the compression of the spine, inevitable and irreversible.
