A couple of months ago, my company has removed the beverage vending machines from each floor to only in odd floors ( 1,3,5,7,9) and our office building is 10 Floors tall. Luckily, i am in 9th floor, so the machines are just a hop, skip and jump!

Dont know the concept but, i assume it is supposed to reduce the free beverage in-take

That sucks.. How do you work in a rather warm office? Keep the windows open and the dust will get in.

I am sure the AC is put on the "run on fan mode". If one needs to switch off the AC's, they also need to switch off the Chillers on the building roof because of load issues. During peak hours, and also afternoon times, it would take a min of 45 mins for the chillers to cool down the office setting. Plus, switching them off and again switching them on consumes more energy than just putting the AC on fan mode.

My office timings are 8.30 to 5.30 PM. Earlier in my office, I used to get the AC's switched on at 8 AM and used to run till 8 as there used to be some employees who used to work till late. Now, what ever happens, I switch on the chillers at 8.30 and AC at 8.35 so it gets cool by 9.00 AM and switch them off at 5.30 and 5.45 PM respectively.

PS: It helped me save a min of 50,000 INR

the pick and drop is a paid service and as far as i know, not subsidized at all (I maybe wrong though on subsidizing, as I don't use this service).
Good interiors were built when there was no recession and also because this facility is used to brief large customer executives and CXOs.

Yup, each post gives a hint what it is, but not naming it!

Finally, when Amtak said about the TV ad, I realized it was Cisco....
