Don't know if I have already posted in this thread. Maybe not. But my mom and my girlfriend tell me I am really good cook. Though had lost interest in cooking since I had joined TBHP and the entry of the baleno into my life recent turn around of events have just made me go back to cooking for a week now. Needless to say, I enjoyed cooking, more so eating and mom was relieved for once that she didn't have to enter the kitchen.

Chef specials - Fried Rice, Biryani, Palak Paneer, Chilly Chicken, Chicken Kababs, Rasam, South Indian Dal, different types of snacks with potatoes, sandwiches, pizzas, burgers. When I have the time and the patience I prefer cooking all of the above myself than going to any restaurant.

I can, but avoid at all cost after getting married

laziness and other interests (read internet and TV) being the main reasons.

most of us seem to have learnt the lesson (and cooking) only after living in alien lands. Also shed the stigma of being in the kitchen at the same time.

hats off to those who did it by themselves instinctively.

I dont cook that well, seeing some of the recipes that people dish out here. I cook for survival. But talk to my bachelor friends and they will agree that I cook well whatever i do. But not to those married ones spoiled by their wifeys.

Great to see so many cooks around !!!! I am a pretty decent cook myself, started when I was 10. Got a big family and when there is a get together it is the responsibility of guys to take control over the kitchen. So graduated from peeling potatoes to making full fledged meal. Good cooking runs in the family . Am pretty good at pastas, stuffed veggies and parathas
Love to eat non-veg but since everyone else in the family is a veggie haven't tried my hands at it.

Well, cant say there arent any new ones. At the time this thread was created, i knew zilch about cooking. Now, i do some basic cooking which is edible atleast.

With my wife also working, and she having to slog in more hours at the office, the onus was on me to take up some of the cooking work at home.
In the process my wifey took some cooking lessons for me, and now i am able to make dal, chawal, tea, coffee, and most kinds of egg delicacies. I guess that would atleast help me survive. Hehe..

As for non-veg, havent ventured much into that section as yet.

Frankly, i was surprised at the number of people here who seem to be good at cooking !
