Very strange. Since it's only you who is facing the issue, I'm inclined to think that it's something to do with your computer and / or browser.

Use Chrome :)

I will wholeheartedly disagree :D. Black is my personal favourite.

We like it simple, hence don't have any plans of enhancing the skins in the near future.

In the "Travelogues" section, it would be lovely if the trips are segmented "State Wise". Like a separate sub-forum for each state. For eg. Mumbai to Mahabaleshwar, would come under "Maharashtra" & Bangalore to Hampi would come under "Karnataka".

Thanks, good suggestion. Making a note of it.

A feature i would love to add on is : Possibility to add upto 50 images per post (In Travelogues Section)

Split the travelogue up into multiple posts, the way so many BHPians do. No plans to increase the image per post allocation.

One of the Hot Thread in the home page is mentioned as "June 2012 Car Sales Analysis". But actually it should be "July". This link opens the thread " July 2012 : Indian Car Sales Figures & Analysis"

Typo, thank you & corrected.

For last couple of days, I was unable to thank a post. ' You do not have permission to the concerned page' was dispalayed.
Today this message is displayed but I am able to thank the post. Also this is varying in sections of the forum.
Is it a problem in first place? And if yes what should I do?

Sandeep,

Let me take a guess now... you're using Kaspersky Antivirus ?

This seems to be a problem we face ONLY when Chrome + KIS are used together. Turning off KIS (not recommended) seems to fix it.

Any progress in this regard? I am in the same boat and frustrated like hell.

May I add that I was not facing this issue on xp 64 bit earlier. This started occurring after I upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit and updated KIS.

cheers

Was the site down for a while now? Would be great if your scheduled downtime/ maintenance info is posted on the Team Bhp Facebook page

The thread is in Modification/ Accessories:Shockked:, Shouldn't this thread be in Route/ Travel Queries. By th looks of it, it was moved to that section, any particular reason

I recently started using Micromax Funbook, which is my first touchscreen device. I am still not comfortable with touchscreen.
While browsing through some threads, I accidentally pressed thanks button.

Are there any plans to introduce 'undo thanks' within 30 minutes of thanking?

facing the same problem. however, i have been using windows 7 only with KIS and didnt face this problem earlier. its a recent development. tried clearing the cache too as suggested in the earlier post but it did not help either!

Any solution?

Mods, under gadgets we have a tablet thread and another for iPad. Shouldn't these ideally be one, considering iPad is also a tab? Or are they separate for a specific reason?

Yes this happened only after a recent update with KIS. I have started using IE. Though it feels so ancient after using chrome.

Lets see, Rehan had posted that he has escalated the issue to KIS. I have also put a mail with screen shot to Google & KIS. I will suggest you do the same. More the petitioners, stronger will be our case

cheers

Regarding the Kaspersky + Chrome images issue:

Had a call with someone at Kaspersky yesterday. Finally a person who understood the problem and could replicate it as well! So i think this should be solved in the next few days.

Really sorry for the inconvenience guys!

PS - KIS 2013 is scheduled to launch today (free update for KIS 2012 users as always), however that too has the same image bug on TBHP :(

Also, the person who called me from Kaspersky said that he had seen the complaints in our Suggestions thread and was a BHPian too :)

If you think there are many (non-GPS) trip logs available, how about starting a thread in Assembly Line.

You could organize the post/thread and link directly to existing posts that contain XLS trip-logs from within that thread - serving as an index.

No other reports of this. Perhaps a browser issue. Could you please clear your browser cache & cookies and try again. This might fix it.

Unfortunately this wasn't scheduled maintenance. It was a hardware failure :(

We will post on FB if/when we face downtime. We usually try to do this. :thumbs up

Sorry, but the thanks feature we use doesn't support this, and we try to avoid further modifying custom code unless its very necessary.

The iPad thread was started when there really weren't any other tablets out there. Given its market size, i think it deserves its own thread too. ;)

Thanks,
R

Hello Mods,

Is it possible to have an e-mail notification if one of our posts is thanked. Something like ' You have been quoted '.

Regards

Thanks Rehaan!:thumbs up Did it. Problem solved. Sorry though, for not mentioning it.
Re-installed my whole system as many other things also started to misbehave.
Cheers!

With the increased time for *Editing* a post, it would also be great to have a version control tool which shows your complete edit history something akin to the latest Facebook edit feature for comments.

Does vBulletin support such customization? Just a thought!
