The "Advanced Search" (accessed via the Search dropdown) has the option to limit searches to one's subscribed threads only. Restrict the keywords to "Search Titles Only" to get the exact behaviour you want.

Thanks for this suggestion, but then, many of the key words that one uses to search appear in many titles. Take for instance "ambassador". While I may have very few on the subscribed list, the overall list contains many which again leads to sifting.

But now I realise it talks about subscribed forums, not threads.

NO matter what I do, I always end up receiving thread update emails every Sunday. Earlier it used to be that all of them arrived within ten minutes as soon as midnight struck. Now, however, I receive them sporadically all through Sunday.
Also, PM and quoted emails do not arrive immediately, but an hour or so later.
Is this happening due to whatever was being fixed in the background on the forum?

Even I am facing the exact same issue. Emails don't arrive together and instead do so spontaneously throughout the day.

Notifications for PMs arrives very late, sometimes also take 2-3 hours.

Have been facing the same issue. As per an update from Rehaan, he is investigating this with the backend hosting team.

1) it would have been better to have notification bar within the profile itself instead of receiving emails for the replies or notifications. Reason being, bhpians are sure to check the forum atleast 3 times or more in a day. I do that atleast.

2) how about team bhp creates stickers for bhpians who have just got a new entrant in the family? (Similar to baby onboard stickers we see outside) :)

Rehaan, GTO, et al; I do not know what you folks tweaked last week, but I am finally (and for the first time ever since I joined the forum) I actually get emails when replies are posted to the threads I have subscribed to!

Whatever you did, worked. :)

UPDATE on Delayed Email Notifications:

This should be fixed now :)

If any of you are still facing delays, do let me know.

When you subscribe you can choose "No email notification".

Then when you visit your "User CP", you'll be shown all your subscribed threads.

You can also set your profile to automatically subscribe to all threads you reply in (very useful). See default thread subscription mode.

I also experienced the same today morning. I couldn't open PMs, as it was continuously showing this. But it's fine now.

Yes it was a temporary error that was resolved soon after it was pointed out.

While the ad-blocker works flawlessly within the country, on sanity perspective; I do hope it is managed for global viewers if possible as a future improvement factor.

P.s. This is the ad I get sitting out of Kathmandu, Nepal

I think it is the advertiser who gets to decide where their ads are shown; it is possible that Coverfox chose Nepal also (along with India presumably) among the countries to show their ad.

If a person has made 1 post, and that post has received 46 thanks, then the total number of thanks that person has received has to be 46, no?
