I find that happening a lot to me too. Whenenver I check the User CP, threads where I have made the last post, too come up in the list. Ideally the thread should only come up if someone posted 'after' my last post in the thread.

I believe this is a bug in the forum software, as this has been going on for quite some time. On another forum where I am a member and which runs a different version of vBulletin, this problem has never occurred.

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

What is the definition of a "post" in the forum?

I noticed that I posted on many threads this week, but the counter wasn't increasing. So did a quick check.
it shows 106 posts below my handle in my last post; but if I click on my handle and select "show all posts", I see "Showing results 1 to 25 of 133; Search took 0.01 seconds. Search: Posts Made By: arjithin"

Why this difference?

Posts in Shifting gears sub-forum aren't counted in your post-count.

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

Admins, is it possible to have an option in which we can reduce the space between subsequent posts and space in the posts itself ? For detailed posts, this is not an issues, but for 2-3 liners, there is a huge gap between subsequent posts. Personally, i am presently using Fasterfox plugin to have endless pages but it is a bit inconvenient, i mean reading 10-15 posts then selecting the next page. I am pretty sure that if posts are made less spaced out vertically, profile images will have to hidden. It would be amazing to have a page with say 100-200 posts continuously. It will make the threads very concentrated and extremely relevant.

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

Would it be possible to put a date filter while showing "related news" in the new home page?

Some of these links (actually, all except the last one in the below instance) are almost a year old and would be confusing to the readers. It would be good if we can restrict the related news to only the links within last month or so.

Here are the links that I found for the article on new Octavia spotting in B'lore:

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

PM from administrator is not getting generated sometimes, if someone quotes me.
For eg: torquecurve's quote in the (A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide) thread.

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

I searched for a similar query in this thread, but couldn't find.

Can we have an option to change the order of posts in Assembly line topics? Like say, if I created a thread with 3 replies and later if I want to swap the 2nd and 3rd reply so that the order of posts become 1-3-2. As of now, I think the only possible way to do this is by editing individual posts and cut-paste content accordingly.

Again Roy.S quoted me in "The BEST & the WORST Advertisements on TV" thread, but it did not generate any PM.
I might be missing on useful stuff posted by people for my queries.

If someone replies from the mobile app, it does not generate PM alert.

Those aren't from the mobile. Even I face the same problem sometimes.

I too have been facing the problem since some days. Reported it to Rehaan and he promptly replied:

Thanks - someone else too has reported a similar issue.

We'll look into it soon.

It might be some problem with the server, hope it is resolved soon!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If someone has quoted a post, and then the quoted post is deleted by the mods for some or the other reason, then too there is a link in the quoted post to the post that already is deleted. Clicking it takes me to the starting of the page. Can something be done to remove the link to the post as it is of no use then.

For example: This post has quoted a post that already has been deleted. Clicking on that red arrow leads me to the top of the page.

1) Are you still finding the site slow, or is it back to normal?
2) Where are you currently located?
3) What is your ISP?

If anyone else is facing the same issue in the last 2-3 days, please do reply to these questions as well.

Thanks,
R

-Yes the website is still slow, and accessing through the app is somewhat slow.
- i am based in faridabad
- ISP - airtel
I am able to watch movies online which means no problem with the internet speed. When i ping teambhp there is a latency and it shows 356 ms which is slow. Please check with vendor as its giving problem since two days and let me know if i have to do anything at my end like contacting airtel for same.
