Since there are many serious golfers here. It would be interesting to know your handicap figures. Please fill in if you dont have any objections in proclaiming the same.

I'm not a great player, am still learning the ropes, frequent the driving ranges at SPT academy and a week ago, have found a driving range( BIRDIE ), on Hennur Main Road, about 6kms from the Hennur Jn, which I intend to frequent

I'd love to meet up with the rest of the bangalore based TBHP-Golfers, how about a meet at Eagleton ?

cheers!
Srini, how's this place compared to SPT facility and cost wise? SPT will work for me better as i stay close to this place.

just a suggestion which will benefit guys like u and me- dont bother about long driving distance.
just concentrate on those short chip shots and lob shots closer to the green and your putting.
its magical how your handicap comes down when you concentrate on getting on the green in regulation and when you putt carefully!

Enjoy and Happy Golfing!

True, as my father in law says,

"The long drives gets the girls, the short game gets the money.....and the girls"

Golf and Cars

Here's one of the many golf jokes - related to cars..

Tiger drives up his BMW to a gas station to fill up, and the attendant notices something sticking out of his pocket and asks what is it. Tiger says its a Tee. The attendant asks what is a tee.. Tiger says it used to prop up the ball when you are driving. Attendant says - boy - these BMW guys think of everything!

I just got off DLF. What a craptacular round. Shot 9 pars and played to 18 over! 12 over in the front with 3 pars and 6 over in the back with 6 pars. Dropping shots for such silly mental errors. Oh well, tomorrow is another day - playing Jaypee Greens. Let's see if I learnt anything today.

the Birdie golf driving range is very small compared to SPT. The guy has about 200 balls, and gives one bucket for Rs. 40/-.

Pic of the range below.
Any Golfers here?-13072008.jpg

The availability of this range so close to home is the biggest advantage. Its pretty empty and you can have the whole range to yourself.

cheers!

Hi Shankar,

Earlier was playing at KGA, but since I have shifted to Sahakarnagar , not been able to see the greens, since BGC is expensive with the green fee of INR 1000/-. Any chances of cheaper play anywhere near my place?

Thanks!

Aditya

Golfers Team-Bhp Members

There should be plenty of Golf Addicts on Team Bhp. Lets compile a list here. Should members be travelling they may like to play with other T-Bhp Members in their cities.

If the response is great on this thread, maybe we can organise a Team Bhp members tourneyment !

a) Captain Nandu Chitnis> Pune > Handicap 18.
