There has been significant development on this subject.

A former U.S. intelligence officer has claimed that the U.S. is secretly operating a UFO retrieval program and possesses “intact craft of non-human origin.” The craft belongs to WW2 era.

He adds that US has many such crafts, in intact as well as crashed condition, and there were pilots with them as well.

We are definitely not alone in the universe.

All testimony Grusch provided for the classified complaint was provided under oath.

Grusch alleged that fragments of UAP have been recovered for decades by the government, its allies, and defense contractors.

Why do UFOs have such a fascination with USA only? I am a skeptic about these 'miracles' of UFOs or milk drinking Ganesha statues amongst others. Sorry to be a damp squib.

Whatever this might be, it is highly certain that we are not the only conscious civilization residing among the billions of stars and galaxies that surrounds us.
Sun is a second or third generation star. There must be habitable planets that are double or triple the age of our Earth. They must be technologically more advanced than us. High chance that the species of those planets have already discovered us?

And UFO fanatics from all over the world are believing that US is about to reveal something big in the coming years.

There might be other civilizations that might have developed in other parts of the universe - highly likely given the sheer size of the universe. But highly unlikely that we will have a chance of any direct encounter/interaction with any of them. Again, given the size and age of the universe.

1. There might be many civilizations that would have arisen, developed and vanished in the last 4 and a half billion years, before ours. At best, we might get some clue of if their past existence. Just like some day, perhaps millions of years later, some new civilization somewhere would encounter one of the voyager spacecrafts roaming around, well after we have vanished from the Earth. Civilizations come and go, this have happened within our "relatively new" planet, many without contacting other civilizations at all before they disappeared/extinct. This is probably the most possible way - numerous civilizations have existed and will keep on evolving, throughout the expanse of the universe, in different times, or at the same time divided by insurmountable distances, without ever managing to contact each other directly.

2. If aliens exist and frequent our planet (UFO sightings), I see no point of them choosing to remain discrete/hidden. It would take extremely advance science, ample resources and efforts to reach out to our planet - just to remain hidden from us? What for?

Agree fully with both. the likelihood of there being civilizations in other parts of the universe is quite high. The point I was trying to make is that each culture develops its own bogey man tales. In USA it is forever sighting UFOs. In India we have our bunch. In UK it is haunted houses - UK has the largest concentration of haunted houses per square mile in the world. Iceland has its lepurchens, fairies and other magical creatures - mind you they are dead serious about these things.

My opinion would be that it would be incredibly vain to think we are alone in this universe.

Seems like United States is in a hurry to bring the UFO secrets out to the public. First hearing regarding it, in the Congress, will begin from July 26th.

Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, the majority leader, is pushing legislation to create a commission with broad authority to declassify government documents about U.F.O.s and extraterrestrial matters, in an attempt to force the government to share all that it knows about unidentified phenomena.

The measure offers the possibility of pushing back against the conspiracy theories that surround discussions of U.F.O.s and fears that the government is hiding critical information from the public.

The Republican-led House Oversight Committee will hold a hearing on UFOs, officially called unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), next week.

I feel this whole “people need to know” bit is over exaggerated. Some things the general public does not need to know like this UFO bit. How is it going to help the common individual? Don’t think a UFO is going to land in my house or compound and even if it does, what am I going to do about it It just spreads unnecessary fear and even more hype.

Let the Department of Defence and others related to national security deal with it. They have the resources and would know what to do or learn what to do. Let the common man sleep in peace

You really think aliens will traverse through the galaxy, and then land on earth with just enough camouflage to evade the rest of the world but not US military?

If the phenomenon is real then the reasons could be many why disclosures are happening right now.

Maybe the U.S. wants the general public to slowly absorb themselves to the fact that yes, aliens not only exists, but they also visit our planet from time to time. This is going to shatter various religious beliefs. They want to do it slowly and steadily.

Or it could be that U.S. has successfully reverse engineered one of their craft and and plan to use its energy source as a replacement of fossil fuels. This can make U.S. as a major producer/supplier of future green energy fuels.

Or it could be that China or Russia have gotten themselves ahead of the U.S. in the race of reverse engineering alien technology. These things defy the laws of Physics that we have learnt till now. If deployed in military applications, it can put U.S. in the backwards.

These are mere speculations, but the UFO fanatics all over the world are super excited of the recent happenings, and say that we are inching closer to the secrets than ever.

This is exactly what I meant by there is no reason to bring this out because of the fanatics and general crazies.

There are enough things in the world which need attention, not this! Time and money is being wasted which should be utilised in a constructive manner.

Sorry, I like to have access and insight to anything a gouvernement does. Or very strict policies that control a few limited real,secrets. But no matter what everything needs democratic oversight.


I think all these UFOs are just what they are unidentified flying objects. Actually, many have been explained and not that many are left unexplained.

Just because we have not got a plausible scientific explanation for a certain phenomena does not mean said phenomena involves Aliens at all.

The universe is so vast, it is quite possible life forms exist in some planets of other star systems. They may be intelligent just to the level of our whales,apes,elephants or octopus, in which case we will not know anything about them till we reach there.

If they are intelligent enough to develop space or interstellar travel and are already among us on our planet, the only way we will not know about them is if they are extremely like us in appearance. There is no other way I can imagine we will not know about their presence.
