yes i have been lucky enough!! kmph
regarding speedo error i dont know the error % associated with the speedo.
some one throw some light on this??. i have came to know that error increases with higher speeds?? is this possible??
and yes i am sure that there shouldnt be any crosswinds for better acceleration , towards the last section of the bypass there was a heavy cross wind i couldnt go above 210kmph in that section!! and had to brake frantically!! a trailor was stationary on the side!! at a distance ofcourse, but it was near to me in no time .. didnt feel like shifting lanes at 200kmph, the cross winds would have easily thrown me of the track. and its a pain to look towards the sides at above 170kmph!! your eyes start to ache!!

Awesome. I like that machine. She's India's Maserati far as I'm concerned.

Have touched 140 in my Indica and maintained it for a period of about 5-6 seconds! After that felt that the car was going to lose control.. Came back to cruising speeds of 110-120 after that.

It can be possible.
Me myself done around 205 kmph on my Elantra CRDi with same torque and Elantra is much heavier than Verna, 200 kg heavier. You can imagine, if elantra crdi can do 205 kmph then why not verna. Gear Ratios can be the problem taking it beyond 220 kmph mark. But its within 4500 rpm mark. Means it can be possible mate.

Sir, there you are. Thanks.
Is VGT variable geometry turbo- I'm guessing?
Just noticed a Fiat/PAL in your 'profile' picture: if you are a fan, there's an interesting thread on the topic by a gentleman whose name eludes me. He worked at the plant in Mumbai many years ago and has silo-full stories and reminesces. That's provided you haven't been there done that.

Did 190+ in my Old Honda city V-tec, 180 is easy. btwn 180 - 200 is a little time consuming. Braking and handling at those speeds were good.

Man, you must be the first person to say that the handling at 150+ speeds in the OHC was good! Have you modded your suspension??
