Just noticed a Fiat/PAL in your 'profile' picture: if you are a fan, there's an interesting thread on the topic by a gentleman whose name eludes me. He worked at the plant in Mumbai many years ago and has silo-full stories and reminesces.
Do you mean this Gentleman:

and this thread he started

One of my favorite team-bhpian: Behram ji.

YesSir. That's the one. I'm a sentimental fool- the nostalgia of his story and those bygone days churns something inside. I thanked him for posting.

200 looks pretty cool, but taking the pic with one hand ain't that cool.

Drive safe with both hands on wheel esp over 100 kmph

HI all,

Car : Beamer 3 -series
Road: Mysore road
Max. Speed touched : 160 KMPH ( Couldn't maintain same speed ofcourse as you have lots of villages and people , cattle , dogs, cats, tractors crossing the highway all the time)

Reached Mysore (Distance: 140KMs from Bangalore) in 1 hr 45 mins with Snack stop for 20 mins
car)

Frankly, never got the opportunity to go beyond that

Did 190 on my Verna CRDi recently. The vehicle did touch 200, but trust me it was on a downward slope. Never could get flat out roads without much of traffic anywhere to try the max speed, for I know the car can go more.
