Yes .. thats a lovely car ... recall experiencing around 175 on one, in the australian country side ... we were racing against time to return the car to Avis before they closed shop

I recently did 155 KMPH in my 2 month, 4200 KMs old Getz; on Delhi-Chandigarh highway, while coming back form a trip to Chail.
I was with my wife and kid, so was driving very safely, but the road was too tempting ;-) But I never took a chance and accelaraed when there was no vehicle in sight, and was able to go beyond 150 comfortably. The car felt ready for much more, but I didn't take chance. mebbe next time ;-)

152 (probably around 140true) in my zen mpi (2000 model) in 2003 on nh-8, with four ppl on board. in 4th gear. donno why,its refused to go any faster in 5th

168 (around 150 true) in my 2001 ikon 1.6 on the nh-1 in 2004 with four on board

All the below speed are speedo reading-

190kmph on my dads Mondeo, ran out of Road. Dad frequently takes it to 220kmph!!
115mph (184kmph) Nissan Altima (US)
110mph (176kmph) Mazda 3 (US)
100mph (160kmph) Mazda 6 (US)
100mph (160kmph) Pontiac Granprix (US) this had a 3.8 liter turbo charged engine, unfortunately it was snowing so couldn't really rip her.
100mph (160kmph) on my 1991 Toyota corolla wagen!!!
150kmph Lancer
135kmph Santro
135kmph My own Karizma!!
115kmph on my CBZ......so on!!
opps how can I forget my very first motor vehicle 58kmph in my Luna Magnum!!

solly you still got your US licence? seems like to run your cars fast and the US State Troopers dont like that.

this was taken at 129kmph on the nh-1 while comin back from shimla. cam in left hand,twisting the throttle with the right one. cudnt bend down properly coz of the cam so did the max i cud capture (otherwise the karizma goes 135+)

Mondeo doesn't do 220 km/hr unless it's been modified. Max speed is about 205.

I used my International licence and always was very carefull watching out for the cops. I usually acclerate and then slow down. Once I got caught (50mph in a 30mph zone), I pretended to be ignorant and he saw the Indian licence and let me go. Guys please don't imitate this.

We have a Petrol Mondeo at it does touch 220 on the speedo so don't wan't to argue further!!

its super charged that too the GTP variant .. we hired a new (2000k) grand prix 2004..ripped her throughout our trip from windsor - niagra - toronto - then windsor.. i hit the limiter (180k's) too ..
ofcourse performed the good old ruining the tyre act before returning to AVIS ..

I did 155kmph in my ikon flair on Pune-Mumbai expressway a month back and the car felt really strong. generally revvs up to 140 mark pretty easily. Ford did a good job with this one.

Yes you are right its a supercharged engine. Unfortunately it was snowing heavily on the day I hired it so was scared to push her real hard! Always wanted to hire a Mustang.. may be next time!!

Did 195kmph in my Skoda RS on the new Rajerhat road Kolkata. Risky to go above that, as cows and buffaloes stray on that road.
