120kmph on Pulsar 150DTSi - National Highway No4
150kmph on Opel Astra Expressway
160kmph on Honda Accord - 4 cylinder version on Expressway
180kmph on Opel Astra as passanger on Expressway

(expressway....didnt dare go faster and immediately reduced speed to 100)

150 kph - Toyota Corolla ...again on a Interstate

Interesting.Opel doing a 195kmph is something really rare.I did manage to clock 185kmph on my Astra long time back.But the true speen would be not more than 170kmph in my opinion.Not sure though.
Can you elaborate on the mods pls.

Some real good figures there... Which road did u do them??

200+, may be try the Cochin-Allepey route maybe when nobody is on the road, but be careful.. Dont think u can do that on NH47..

You could try the L&T bypass road too. but that is pretty dangerous as there are some small roads oining the bypass. My friend claims to have hit 190+ on those roads in his merc e class. but this was at 2 in the night.

Fiat 1100 (Premier Padmini) 120 Kmph -
This with 4 people in the car, no Mods at all
and on Slick tyres- ok fine they were Bald retreads really and i was broke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After that my ad detuned the car!!!(leaner Mix)

Amby - well the speedo showed 110, i guess it was quicker )speedo was not too good, the car had more juice, but the brakes sucked to i dint take the chance to push harder, coz there was no way she would hv stopped.

Matiz -160(only for a bit, not continuous) on the expressway- K&N intake
a Friends souped up 1.6 palio - 180 - expressway
My Baleno - 180 - Expressway, no mods

But fastest that i have gone is in the fiat, you try holding it at 120, the baleno at 120 is boring!!
andthe fatest ever in anything was at 55 Mph on a Jet Ski

Well, the funny part is my the overall speed that i drive at now is much faster,
But the risks i take are much lesser.
Most of these runs were on expressways,
The ambi was late night on wide roads in bombay
The fiat was the only one done in the city during the day, but it was a sunday afternoon,
the seaface & ten years ago!! (when traffic was much lesser on sunday noon)

Barring the fiat drive, the rest have all been done alone, with no passengers in the car
I'm particular about that when i am excessively speeding!! if there are folks in the car, i do drive slower, i know that there are other folks on the road to, but i guess that is a risk i take, and how also the level of faith i have in my machine & abilities

For example, i never speed in my Mum's Santro, i am just not comfy with that machine.

But yes, they are risks, and i freely admit i do it for the rush!!!!!!

The ambi & fiat drives at 80-110 provided me with the max rush. Controlling those round the corners took a lot more than doing more in my baleno.
Sometimes i really miss the challenge of wrestling those things around!!

i did all these speeds on the edappally-vythilla highway....most of it was done around 2 in the mornin..it is very risky though..but itz worth the try i guess..after 190 the merc seems not to be stable..i think its because of the roads in cochin nh..because when i do 190+ in L&T coimbatore it seems to be in total control..i jss love the edappally-vythilla NH..me and my friends drag in those roads at night even though cops do hang around there at night..we got caught a couple of times..but its all in the game..

my opel astra had flow-master exhaust system and manifold..that did make a lot of difference..then k&n performance filter and air intakes..the car was really great..it was awesome to drive..but the mileage droped to 5-6 that was bad but its ok since it delivers the power you need..i had draged it with my friends skoda(1.9tdi) and skoda had no chance till 140kmph..then the skoda took over but not much of a difference...you can forgive the opel for that..
