200kmph in a ikon 1.6 .....(Heard about the speedo Error in the ikon )

220 kmph on Mondeo '04, Riyadh-Bahrain (absolute limit - took ages after 200kmph, which came up pretty fast)

180 kmph on Civic '03, Jo'burg-Windhoek

180 kmph on Proton Perdana (3 litre V6) '01, KL-Penang expressway

150 kmph on Accent GLS '02, Hubli-Dharwad byepass

140 kmph on RD350 '86, so many times I've forgotten

and finally

140 kmph on Smart Brabus '02 (600cc Turbo!)!

Thank you for the invite, and will do even if I dont know when ! That was when I was in a tearing hurry - we did the Kolhapur - Bangalore stretch non-stop in about 8 hours or just slightly over. Wife claims she never saw anything enroute, since she had her eyes clenched shut all the time

Approx. 260 km/h - Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo with a few mods that I used to own in New Zealand. Car was still accelerating but I was running out of roads and testosterone.

Think you need to check the speedo on the Accent as well - I havent taken mine beyond 150 because I prefer safe to sorry, but my uncle did push his to the limit once and it showed 170.

I can believe that, one Ikon in Hubli did 210 on the speedo, only problem is, it's true speed is not even 170kmph.

My uncle has a diesel Lancer and he claims he's done 170kmph on it. That's speedo error for you.

you got some guts man, taking a pic at 200+(even if it was indicated only). i'd be crapping boulders trying to keep the car going clean...
