also you are standing on the busa seat at 230kmph.....i find it tough to buy....the amount of drag and wind buffeting you gonna have is very high.

Hey the first pic is more like that BMW ad..
Have u guys seen that.. There is this really really fast machine shaped as a rocket, moving on wheels.. Its going really fast and all this is being shot by camera.. At the end of which they show where the camera is mounted.. Its mounted on a BMW's side....

May be the pic is taken at slower speeds....
But if u'v really done this, u rock buddy.. u definetly do...

Sorry, that photo is no way taken at anything above 120kmph, sitting straight on a bike above 90mph(140kmph) is really really difficult, let alone standing is kinda impossible unless the next photo was of the busa without the rider (smile). Dont take it the wrong way, I ride my gixxer in USA regularly and have been top speed of 184mph(294kmph). Only once I did the mistake of lifting my head above the crouching position at 140mph (224kmph)and nearly got an pilots license, almost took off from the bike. The winds are heavy after 100mph, Unless you have superglued yourself to he bike you cant sit straight on high speed bikes. Anyone who has been at those speeds will tell you that all you do after passing that 110mph limit is you hang on tight and watch the road. High Speed is fun, but here in usa, roads are made for such speeds, roads are straight, no potholes, no animals etc. But in India, man you really have to hope and pray nothing comes in your way while you try out those high speeds.

'Busa : 332 kph

Myself:

1)S-10: 190 kph in 5th(Speedo reading)on a newly opened ,absolutely lonely bypass(not officially opened as yet) just near Sehore on the Bhopal-Indore Highway..I guess the true speed must be 180.Hey,Shan2nu what does your calculation say about the S-10.
2)Maruti Zen(1998):140 kph(Speedo read)on Mumbai Pune Expressway in 2002 after the ghats.
3)RX 100(1992):122kph(Speedo read)on the Pune Bypass in 2000.
4)Premier Padmini:100kph(Speedo read) again on the Pune Bypass in 1998.

I have beaten the busa by 220 kph with all the above speeds put together.......

the 332 was something too much for me but it is a baby for the guy who owns the bike becuase he does 355. well the bike looks stock in the picture but inside its engine all parts replaced with Titanium wherever possible and thats where it gains by losing all of 39 kilos. this bike eats up R1's, rr's as though they are travelling at 60kmph in range of 270+.

and talking of lifting your head up may be difficult if u have not tried becuase we had a pillion on a RR taking pictures of the speedo at 245. and if u dont believe me then give me sometime i will get u the picture of the dashboard clicked at this speed which i have seen on his camera. since pics in UAE give me sometime.
it requires a little bit of practice and proper judgement of the powerband.

Those images seem to have been scanned from a magazine or newspaper. Look at the grain of the paper at it becomes clear.

Anyways, he claims to have done standing wheelies at 200+kmph after riding a bike for only 4 hours, good on him.

Its just that I don't believe it.

i sit straight on my RD at (90mph) 140 in india and i dont crouch at this speed. well when u try things out u will know IF its possible and to do crazy stuff u need to experiment it without fear. and i have done the busa rides in UAE certainly i dont have the ***** to try going above 240 in india unless its some test zone.

Hey ICEMAN,
Will the weight reduction from 220 to 181 help in getting such speeds..
I guess the top speed on the busa in 332kph.. Breaking the 300kph barrier is a record of sorts in itself.. And attaining speeds like 332 is just insane.. He says his friend touched 350.. Now thats friggin fast Gotto be a turbo busa with a pinch of NOS to get there..
What say pros???

well u said it. let me dig out these pictures of myself standing next to (NOT IN) a F1. and i did hear and see an F1 doing 0-300-0 all in 9 seconds on a 3 lane road city road as a promotional run for the new circuit in Bahrain. Feb 19, 2004. (its a small stretch of road maybe just under 1 km - and it was freakin risky as we were just 20 feet away) How close can you get to an F1 at high speeds. now if i am giving u guys a bull then the pictures atleast wont lie.

as for the busa stocks do 310 and 332 for me is something to cherish.
THIS IS BUSA WITH NO TURBO AND NO (NOS) only hotcams rockers, light crank&cam, filter, cans and supertuned for performnace.
