hit a 190 (192ish) 5th gear 5500ish rpm(not sure on the rev count) ... 1hr back ..paced a corolla side by side ..his max speed was 185 in 5th ...

location - expressway .. sheer adrenaline ..loved the rush ...all straights...
my friend said the corolla was a bit nervous on the dips which frequent the highway ..
felt my car nearly bottom in one of them too ..

it cant the top speed for a 1.4 is 172 k's..
big big speedo error ...so i am guessing i was doing nearly 170k's true speed...
me and corolla were neck and neck till we slowed down..at that point he was doing 185 and my speedo read 192...
i cant recollect the rev count or else i would have calculated the exact true speed..
according to mine and shan2nus last calculations... corsa had a 24k's speedo error..

Well the Top speed I hav achieved is in my friends Accent Tornado, from Thane's Cadburys bridge to the bridge that conncets towards Kalyan, wow was that time an adrelin rush or what!

I've done 235-240km. in 3 of my cars on the expressway, but believe me its not worth it. its too much of a risk on our roads and traffic sense. On the german autobahns I've touched 270km. and its so very safe feeling there. We need banners every 3 kms. on the expressway showing right lane ONLY for overtaking !! and the speed limit should be raised to 150km. If anyone is doing beyond 160 on the expressway for sure he has to once so often use the left most lane to overtake, and, thats very undesireable!!!

Hey guys, Well i have done 120 on my Rd 350,
195 kmph in an M5 E60 and
220 kmph in a 760 Li!!
Apart from that around 140-150 in an X5 and M3

The best for me was somewhere between 140-150 in an Indica..
And the highest i've experienced was 180 on a merc E 220 at singapore - Malyasia Highway.
