The accent doing more than 180 is not a speedo error, i did it not once but 3-4 times, not the same car but my GVS and VIVA both... Try it on the express way you will notice the needle go pass 180 easily..

mate a speedo error means the needle indicating speeds above the actual speed the vehicle is doing.
The accent can surely do over 180 km/h by the needle, i used to own one, i should know.
But, even drifter posted a picture of 195 km/h in his accent CRDI, now that should make for a goo example of how bad the accent's speedo is.

Max I did with my Swift at the time of voting was 80kmph. Once I get used to the car, I did 120 KMPH. Never tried to accelerate after that and stayed at the same speed.

Also did 120 kmph on Palio (1.2) recently on Bangalore highway. I loved its solid feel at 120 kmph.

New tyres - ES100s - engine oil upgrade, K&N - touched 160 speedo on the OHC1.3 briefly in a very calculated, mentally planned run on looong straightish section of the NICE corridor (see the new avatar). Don't dare much beyond 120-130 on straights and 90-100 when there's traffic visible in the distance or curves or people around otherwise.

I wonder how you achieved that on a small stretch of Noida Toll road, with a steep curve and the toll collection inbetween. It takes a while after 120 for a santro to catch up.

Yes 120 is the top speed. It achieved the top speed in NH48 when we where returning from mangalore. Before while going to mangalore we could only touch 110 with lot of vibration.I got it serviced completely in my native while driving back and I could reach 120 without much vibration.

So what about the skoda RS? you think it wasnt reading acurately? I dont know, I am just saying what the needle read and it took me plenty time to reach 190 in the accent.. neways doesnt make a difference coz i already crossed over 190 in the RS...
