oh did about 125kph on my GF Laser on Durgapur Expressway the speedo reflected that speed I doubt if that's anywhere near true speed or not?

on NH1 between pipli and karnal tried to cross 180 mark on my accent viva petrol on couple of occasion but just about at that speed its abs light started blinking so had to slow down.

The more recent speed runs

NH8 - 145 kmph Octavia 1.9 TDi
NH8 - 130 kmph VIVA CRDi (almost new car-did not wish to exceed that speed)
NH8 - 115 kmph Lancer GLXi - Will easily exceed after run in
Golf Course Rd - 120 kmph SCORPIO 2.6 (once upon a time that road used to be empty)
Delhi - Haridwar 140 kmph FORD Ikon 1.6

170kmph - Hyundai Accent (Stock)
150kmph - Mitsubishi Lancer (Performance Mods Added)

Both the cases are in city roads, so it felt much faster at that point. Though now I don't get that thrill of speed anymore, unless ofcourse I can feel it. 140 is now like 100.

forgot to tell 115kmph on my cbz was racing with a wierdo on a zen.but it was 5 years back. i doubt if i have guts to take any bike above 80 now

This discussion reminds me of a drive in Melbourne's Albert Park in 1999 which during normal times is part of the city's road traffic system and once a year they hold F1 there. We were driving at decent normal city speed (in an old Merc) but saw at least three Porsches that were rounded up by the cops presumably for speeding - all on the straights and all zombie looking youngsters. The expression on their faces tickled me no end.

Fastest on 2 wheel was 145 speedo on my RD in Mumbai Pune Highway, 4 wheel is around 110 in my Omni(feels bit ashamed on myself), rest of my all 2 wheelers i tested them to their limit from 70KMPH in tiny 65 cc Hero Puch to 116 KMPH in my CBZ.

Oooooops i forgot to mention 41 kph on my bicycle when i was in 3rd std
riding down a steep slope at full speed ended up with facial injuries(the shape of my nose changed from that day-FREE nose job)

My stats are:

140 Kmph on my Wagon-R on 4 Lane Durgapur Expressway
110 Kmph on my in-laws Maruti Omni (8 Seater) on the same road (and I did survived that :-))

You are not only dangerous for yourself and your in-laws but also for others sharing the road with you. The Omni tyres are not meant for that kind of speed and can't handle the heat generated by that kind of speed. I hope you didn't do it for any extended period of time. When an Omni overtakes me on the expressways, I slow down completely and let him pass.

Forester - 180 kmph

All on the Greater Noida Expressway

Two wheels

RD 350 - 135 kmph on NH8 in 1995

Most memorable

130 kmph on the Morey Plains in my Forester

In a coupla months time after adding the KnN and the Headers will be going to chennai.. Goal?! - 180!

145 - Esteem Open empty Hosur road towards Ranipet - full throttle, would not budge beyond that.

160 - Friends 1.6 Fiesta - East Coast Road Mahabs - Chennai

130 - non CRDe Scorpio / non independent suspension.. like someone said on this thread SCARRRRRRRYYY and bouncy

Ohh ohh -- and one of my fav and most scary drives

85 kmph on a 20yr old Tempo Trax.. which comfortably seated 12 people.
Steering does not center needed constant correction.

Reached 118 mph/190 kph on a 2007 Hyundai Sonata 2.4 rental car. That car has so much potential.
I must have stayed at that speed for almost a minute. Last night from Toronto to Windsor on the 401, I covered 400 km in about 2 h 45 m.
