Guys, check out the TC plates on the Beat. And the MB company type registration (MH 14.CS.XXXX) on the SLK.
I am pretty sure this would be loaners/testers for some car publication out for a photo shoot.

Don't think the shoot was on for some review by a magazine. On the front seat there was a guy sitting with a Gandhi topi and Ganapati Bappa is his lap.

Then goes well as a theme photo right ? The car on the right is a Beat diesel on TC plates. The camera seems pretty hi-end too.
No question though, about it being unsafe, whatever the motive was.

Yes, Amit you are right. Around 9 i saw the same car on Paud Road going towards Vanaz. They were carrying ganpati and had a small dhol tasha pathak in the front. After 15 min on my way back saw the car on other side of the road, trying to get into one of the lanes Opp to samarth hotel

saw a silver sl55 amg in aundh (CG regd,did not have slr nose). sorry no pics,my phone doesnt have cam.

Saw brand new RED SLK on Airport Road. It was dark on the road so first I got confused with its similar looks to SLS AMG. But I am sure it was Merc's new SLK only.

Btw do we have any SLS AMG in Pune?

The Red SLK you guys have spotted seems to be the company car out for tests/ reviews by different magazines.
Saw the same being ripped on the Old Mumbai Pune highway near Nashik phata. And there was an Innova following closely ( which to me, looked like a shooting vehicle )

I guess Adar Poonawala drives one; reliably heard its frequently seen in salisbury park area where he stays.

Saw a silver SLK on Pashan Road on Friday evening, It was CG registered. Came from the Abhimanshree side. Followed it all the way till Bharat Electronics when it turned towards the Bombay Bangalore bypass

the poonawalas have an sls(heard - not too sure), and so does the bhosales. if not mistaken it was a gift on the son's engagement from the father.

had seen it the night it arrived in pune in le meridian.
