Re: If you could daily-drive a Supercar in India, which one would you pick?

For me it will always remain to be the Ferrari 458 Italia. Something about that car has ticked the right boxes in mind. Boxes that I don't know myself!

If that one is not available and cannot be available, please bring me an Aston Martin V12 Vanquish. For its sheer looks.

I understand that Indian roads need more practical options but i think the term "supercar" has been used wrongly in the Indian car scene, Mustangs, Boxters, STIs, 370z, Golfs, M2, TT, Z4 etc are not supercars by any stretch of the imagination.
I second that statement . In my opinion, anything under a 911 level can't be called a supercar. I do not recommend having a supercar as a daily driver in India. But if I had to, I believe I would get a Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet or maybe a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster(with some comfort features).

Re: If you could daily-drive a Supercar in India, which one would you pick?

Wow! I thought this would be tough to answer but surprisingly, it wasn't. It doesn't help that I am in my mid 40's with a young family.
AFAIF, if you talk about a daily drive, the first thing that comes to mind is comfort and room for 4.

The 2 supercars that fit this bill are:
1. Ferrari GT4Lusso V12
2. Porsche Panamera 4S Sport Turismo

Both, the Lusso which replaces the FF and the second Gen Panamera are easier on the eyes help their cause.

For someone who's been living abroad, been forever (almost a decade now) planning to move back to India in "the next 2 years", dreaming about the cars I can probably afford to drive (it's always the 530D hopefully) here goes my wet list:

I don't know about daily driving but it's definitely going to be one of the 2 below. Btw, this is from Porsche India's website

Nissan GT-R R35

The Nissan GT-R packs a good performance.
562 Horses! That's more than enough for your city. This car grabs lesser attention than the Lamborghini's and maybe Porsche's. Only real car enthusiasts will turn their head when they see a GT-R. A stock GT-R can be used for highway runs and city runs. What I've heard is that, this car has more fuel efficiency than its foreign competitors.
Reliability : There is nothing called reliability on a supercar.
Reliability among its competitors: This would be the most reliable, AFAIK. After all it's a Japanese.
Family : They will complain initially, but give them a ride in other supercars, and they will never ever open their mouth.
Service centres : It's a Nissan, they are in all places, find a trustworthy, big showroom and your job is done.
A worthy competitor to this with respect to city riding will be a Porsche. They are great handlers too and service can be done in Porsche centres which are present in all metropolitan cities AFAIK
