This guy owns a fleet of '8055's.(numbers stamped as BOSS). Pretty much all his/family cars have the same number. I think I know him, even had a ride in his black C class Merc (when he had it).
To clear one doubt out of so many, its possible that he had the 'HR' series first, sold it and then bought the 'KB'. Or maybe he has 2 white M3's!
Anyone else in A'bad care to throw some light on the topic?!

Photoshop can work wonders these days! It's incredible!

But I'd like to say a few things. There are a lot of people like this who 'claim' to have installed many performance parts and 'claim' to have reached insane speeds. But these are just claims. And they would remain to be just 'claims' unless proved otherwise.

And if someone says something, especially if it's just a claim, don't blindly believe it. Take this from me. Such things can be avoided henceforth!

An M3 that makes 420 horses after 'serious' modifications(!) and then reaches speeds like 330 km/h is definitely not true! Think about it!

Try and get more information and some clear pictures to prove your statements, Sir. It would help not only us but you too! That way we know that your friend isn't pulling a fast one on you!

Also, do try and clarify the difference in the number plates. The number plates are different and it's really weird!

My two cents

you know what buddy these speed discussions can go on and on and on.One has to put an end to it.The fact is neither you was there when he clocked 333.Nor we were.So theres no point talking about the thing. If he was able to get 333 out of his car then good for him. However thats for sure this pic is not photoshopped.Having said that neither do you know nor we that it was the same car.I mean i just googled "BMW M3 top speed " and i found 20 images like that of a speedo.
So i would like to thank you for posting pics with a very nice write up.Appreciate it.And keep some more coming. You just wrote what you heard from the owner. So cheers buddy!!

@bivin: I did notice that the car is a convertible, but there isnt a picture whic shows the "other" car to be a coupe. This is really confusing. And what is it about 7th gear? Correct me if I'm wrong, but an M3 comes with a 6-speed box (DCT or manual).

Exactly having such exotics , is your friend not there on t-bhp ?
there is no way the car could have done 333km/h. Definitely photoshoped or the photo might be lifted from someother place.

The M3 has a 7-speed DCT and a 6 speed manual transmission. The car would have touched 333kph if those serious mods include a supercharger kit that raises the output of the 4.0L V8 to about 560-600HP.

Gears can be shifted via the paddles or the gear knob, nothing special there . And yes, there would be a violent jerk if he did not shift at the limiter.

Nice pictures. Was this either "J.M." or "P.P."?

And considering the fact that this bloke achieved the record shattering 333kmph in a 420hp V8 car on a Expressway while our friend ecks achived 300+(approx 305kmph i guess) speeds in a 640hp V12 in a disused runway. He deserves some recogonition in the racing scene ! Hope Scuderia Ferrari, McLaren Mercedes n Force India are listening. No offence buddy, i just could'nt help it !
