We are not distinguished enough.

And gawd no, no one in their right mind reads that tabloid. Can you imagine a more trashy version of TOI?

Sorry for the delay folks on the pics.

Here's the story behind it all:

Woke up in the morning and started reading the Bangalore mirror paper. Flipped through the pages and encountered a big orange full page ad which said Showroom opening today. Decided to go check it out if I got off from work early.

Way back from work, drove past the showroom and thought would check it out to see if Sam had come down for the opening.

Went inside and couldn't find Sam. While going out saw a white Lexus SC430 parked with people gathered around it. Went upto the car to take pictures and suddenly i see a Yeti like figure waving at me from inside the car. Taken aback I go near the car and he's telling me to come inside. Wowiiiee.

We sit inside the car for like a good 10 minutes fiddling with all the gizmos like small kids. What fun.

Enough of story, here are the pictures:

The "L"

The lamps have a tinge blue coating which serves as an antiglare. looks super cool.

Being a Jap import it has the soarer logo on the steering boss.

The instrument pod's. The speedo is limited to 180km/hr being a jap import.

Before key in ingnition:

After key in ignition:

Gear knob. Note the traction control button and the pwr and snow settings.

For Irags. Schnitzer alloys on yoko tyres.

This is where the roof folds into.

The engine bay:

The Happy Yeti:

All in all an excellent tuesday afternoon.

Also saw a Hayabusa, BMW 5 series and a SLK merc.

wow vids love the comfort getting in and out position with the steering going up when the key is removed. this feature was in the 60's thunderbirds as well but manually. the dash gizmo opening up when the key is put in is also a novel idea as theifs get dittered thinking there is nothing there. awsome video. did you guys manage to take the car for a spin?

Viddy, I must say that the picture quality of your nokia phone is excellent. And a whole lot better than my silly Blackberry Pearl.

Do you have any idea how much a full page ad is going to cost to publish in TOI?
